Results of creation of IT infrastructure and data network of the plant

Representatives of three companies of Cherkizovo Group, Open Technologies and Cisco Systems summed up on October 23, 2018 the results of the creation of IT infrastructure and a data network the robot plant belonging to Cherkizovo Group.

Construction of the plant took 2.5 years, creation of IT infrastructure and data network – 8 months. The plant functions since July, 2018. The project was implemented by Open Technologies company.

"All transactions can be executed strictly definitely on automatic transfer lines, the human factor is nullified. Production process is broken into sections. At the end of everyone there is a control point – the equipment element integrated into an information system which permits transition of products further at compliance to the standard. The plant is separated into zones: acceptance and automatic warehouse, farsheprigotovleniye, fermentation and drying, packaging and engineering. Use of artificial intelligence allows to increase capacity of plant in tens of times, to reduce the number of employees to the 150th persons instead of 700 for the normal enterprise of such scale. All processes are completely automated and standardized, each process and the equipment has the digital double. In the automated mode the order for finished goods is executed, stock balance is analyzed, there is no risk of non-performance of deliveries or overproduction".

At deployment of network the most difficult tasks which "Open technologies" had to solve:

  • Provide with Wi-Fi-network office spaces of the plant. Within this project the customer refused ports of a local network in workplaces - employees should be mobile.
  • Provide with wireless Wi-Fi-network industrial premises of the plant for work of technology equipment, including the robots shuttles transporting products between sections of the automated lines.
  • Provide with a wired network industrial controllers of different local automated systems and other technology sections of production.

Important it was correct to define places to installation of access points at a stage of the beginning of design. On difficult technology objects, except the installed equipment, there take place a weight more of communications - electricity, water, air ducts. Many of them - harmful influence distribution of a wireless signal. Robots shuttles who carry products from places of preparation to cameras of drying and fermentation also were added to Cherkizovo. It is not statically set object, and mobile technology equipment.

Design and implementation of a LAN and BLVS and also the engineering systems took 8 months. Acceptance tests lasted 4 days. The test program consisted of different checks of fault tolerance, checked functioning of a wireless network, roaming. At the time of complete readiness wireless and wire local and computing networks, in parallel there were works on a commissioning of industrial equipment and the most exacting for Wi-Fi-hosts - robots shuttles. The Open Technologies company provided reliability and fault tolerance during the work of such plant.

Project implementation allowed Cherkizovo Group to move to qualitatively higher level of access to the existing internal computing resources of the company and to provide convenient information exchange between divisions.

End of a project work of creation of a complex of cable systems

On June 14, 2018 the company announced Open Technologies end of project works "Creation of a complex of the cable systems intended for the organization of wireless communication at the Cherkizovo Group plant on production of raw smoked sausages with a performance of 80 tons/day".

Works on this project were performed within complete reconstruction of the plant on production meat and sausages. Territory of the plant more than 95,000 sq.m: three body with a total area of 35,000 sq.m, are located in of Topkanovo of the city district Kashira.

Use of robots and automatic control systems production processes in pipeline production allows to exclude a human factor from technology process and to increase biosafety of production in general.

Project implementation the Cherkizovo Group entrusted the company Open Technologies.

Works on project implementation were carried out in several steps.

The first stage was based on use of the high-performance hardware of Cisco Systems company, one of market leaders on production of the IT equipment, technology and the solution in the field of wireless networks. The services provided to Cisco Systems allowed to solve assigned tasks in full. Use of a uniform brand of telecommunication equipment at the enterprises allowed the Cherkizovo Group to optimize costs for administration and management of network and also not to create further additional costs and difficulties at operation. The massive program of service support provided by the producer allows to minimize housekeeping overheads of the big park of the equipment in general.

The next stage of implementation of SCS was carried out on the basis of the equipment of Telegärtner Karl Gärtner GmbH company. The list of proposed solutions includes a full range of components for creation of networks on the copper and optical cable.

Specially designed cabinets on the equipment of ARS company and Rittal company became the good engineering solution for placement of passive and active equipment. Reliable cable passages are constructed on the equipment of DKS company.

2015: Creation of a corporate data network

On September 2, 2015 the Open Technologies company announced the project of creation of a corporate data network in the Cherkizovo Group.

Project Tasks

Prior to the beginning of the project in the company there was no uniform communication channel with the center. Transfer and obtaining the necessary information influencing operating activities took a lot of time that slowed down the main business processes.

Creation of corporate network became a part of the plan of the company for implementation of technologies of business continuity and implementation of corporate IT strategy:

  • providing a reliable hi-tech landscape for the growing production,
  • consolidation of computing resources,
  • cutting of costs for their operation,
  • increase in fault tolerance
  • centralization of management of IT infrastructure.

Project implementation the Cherkizovo Group entrusted the company Open Technologies.

Project Progress

Tasks of the system integrator included creation of modern highly reliable network infrastructure of the enterprise in which the possibility of further scaling due to adding of new functional modules and services is put.

Works are carried out in two steps:

  • the first specialists of system integrator developed the architectural concept considering all requirements of the customer to capacity, reliability of network and development plans;

  • the second stage network transmission capacity due to the need of connection to it of the bigger number of computing systems is expanded. Thanks to the architectural principles which are initially put in the solution, upgrade of a core of network at the second stage was executed with preserving of earlier made investments.

Project Results

Project implementation integrated 200 platforms of the customer in a common information space, having increased twice efficiency of interaction between divisions and having given an opportunity of operational data acquisition for acceptance by the management of management decisions.

Project implementation provided to the customer transition to qualitatively new access level to the existing corporate computing resources, provided convenient information exchange between all divisions. Simultaneous operation of staff of different divisions of the organization with applications, databases and other services, operational obtaining information from the most remote divisions became possible.
