Russian State Geological Exploration University (MGRI - RGGRU) (formerly MGRI, MGGA and MGGRU) is a higher educational institution specializing in the training of specialists and mining engineers for various branches of the geological and mining industries - geologists, drillers, geophysicists, surveyors and economists.
As of July 2018, the MGRI-RGGRU includes: rectorate, administration, Scientific Council, evening (face-to-face) department and department for international cooperation.

- The school faculty (ShF) is the "oldest children's geological organization" for the popularization of geological knowledge and career guidance of schoolchildren.
- Faculty of Public Professions (FOP) for the development of creativity, talents and maintaining the artistic and cultural life of the university.
- Institute of Additional Education (IDO) for retraining and advanced training of managers and specialists for the sectors of the country's mineral resource complex.
- Library - a collection of works by employees of MGRI-RGGRU, educational, scientific publications, as well as a dissertation fund and periodicals.
- Laboratory of entertaining physics.
