September 30, 2015. The Novacom company entering into Softline Group announced implementation of a pilot project on workflow automation and interaction management systems of employees at head office of the Sea Arctic prospecting expedition in Murmansk.
Project Progress
The specifics of activity of MAGE mean the large volume of paper work, regular preparation of numerous documents and difficult multistage cycles of their approval. In the field of document flow more than a half of employees is involved. Earlier the company management made the decision on system implementation of electronic document management in the MAGE Moscow branch. The software of Directum became a technology basis of the solution. This project in 2014 was successfully executed by the experts of Novacom and Develonica companies having extensive experience of implementation of information systems of different level of complexity.
After obtaining positive results from automation in the Moscow branch the decision on gradual replication of a system on other offices of the company was made. The place of implementation of the following pilot project selected head office from Murmansk. The Novacom company entering into Softline Group which at the end of 2014 was recognized by the leader in the number of the implemented projects in Russia and the CIS on the Directum platform with assistance of specialists of Develonica company became the partner of a new stage of the project. Implementation of EDMS in MAGE in Murmansk was implemented by experts of Novacom in May, 2015. In process and upon completion of implementation consultations of users and the training seminars were held.
Result
This project which became continuation of cooperation of the organizations in the field of implementation of EDMS allowed to optimize processing of documents and to increase its efficiency. In a project deliverable such tasks as document registration, the organization of their systematized storage, providing the regulated access to users to information were automated, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
Development Plans
Setup of end-to-end business processes between the Moscow branch and head office in Murmansk will become the next stage of development of EDMS. Further a system will be extended to all structural divisions of MAGE. In plans of the organization – unification of work with documents and increase in speed of their approval; increase in efficiency of document flow between structural divisions of the company; transition to completely paperless document flow; automation of process of work with contractual documentation from registration and approval – before obligation fulfillment control.

Partners from Novacom quickly and qualitatively implemented the solution and assisted us in mastering of a new system", – Alexey Golubev, the head of department of computing and information systems of MAGE Moscow told.
"The implemented system solves a problem of maintenance of complete lifecycle of management of documents, storages and archiving of information, quick search of files in the set details and the text of the document. The customer took one more plunge to automation of the processes and minimization of labor costs", – Dmitry Novikov, the technical director of Novacom commented on project results.
