As the Bashkir republican geological fund filled up electronic archive

On October 13, 2015 ELAR corporation announced completion of works on replenishment of electronic archive of the Bashkir Public Geological Foundation (BPGF).

Project Results

The electronic archive of geological information of the Ministry of environmental management and ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan is put into operation in 2011 for consolidation in uniform storage of electronic copies of geological documents BGGF. The system created on the platform of ELAR SAPERION contains geological reports, registration forms of boreholes on water, passports of mineral deposits and other materials.

According to the statement of representatives of department of information resources and monitoring of the Ministry of environmental management and ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan, as of October 1, 2015 the total amount of electronic archive of geological information is about 600 GB. The storage contains:

• 57 tablets of boreholes on water;
• 56 tablets on mineral deposits;
• 287 protocols of a statement of reserves of minerals;
• 1593 passports of mineral deposits;
• 1,212 geological reports;
• 15,276 registration forms of boreholes on water;
• 2,332 tablets on exogenous geological processes.

Staff of the ministry uses a digital resource for rendering public service "Providing in use of the data from republican fund of geological information received as a result of the state geological studying of a subsoil" in electronic form.

"In 2015 digital copies of geological reports which consist of text documentation and graphic materials are loaded into electronic archive. More than 15,000 sheets are transferred to a digital format in the territory of the customer using scanners of document and planetary types", – Oleg Lisichkin, the manager of projects of production management of ELAR corporation noted.

According to the expert, a considerable part of an array came to the shabby status and documents dated for 1940-1960 of last century required care at digitization.
