The Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide police with the system of a geolocation

On October 21, 2015 JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy announced integration into development for police of the Russian Federation of the advanced digital technologies and opportunities of satellite navigation of GLONASS.

Project Tasks

The standard centers of monitoring developed in RKS on the basis of the GLONASS navigation technologies will allow the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to increase knowledge of divisions of an operational situation and to reduce arrival time of crews of police by calls. Modern satellite technologies will provide the high accuracy of position fix of patrol groups, will help to manage more effectively mobile dresses and also will simplify control of objects and territories.

Action in Tatarstan (2013)

Vladimir Koshmanov, chief of multifunction navigation information center of "Russian space systems": "The latest solutions in the field of security and satellite navigation integrated into the systems of information support of divisions of police are aimed at increase in efficiency of operational and service activity".

It is supposed that the standard centers of monitoring will create navigation and information services within the integrated information and analytical system of ensuring activity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The standard centers of monitoring will be able to receive, process and transfer navigation information and also to broadcast the adjusting information for increase in positioning accuracy.

Project Progress

The pilot project is implemented on automation objects of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Kaluga and Yaroslavl regions.

In the standard centers of monitoring of RKS the ability to integrate with perspective hardware-software complexes "Safe city" – a system for providing law and order, safety of citizens and protection of their property is put.

The standard centers of monitoring are closely connected with the system of the emergency reaction at accidents by "ERA-GLONASS", the system of rescue "KOSPAS-SARSAT", video surveillance systems and other systems of security.
