2019: Implementation of WMS with Pick-by-Voice technology on the distribution center

On April 9, 2019 the TopLog company announced implementation of modern WMS with Pick-by-Voice technology on the distribution center of Dolce vita company.

Solution integration of TopLog WMS underwent without stopping works of a warehouse. Processes of acceptance, placement and a set of goods, feed, a complete set and rejection are automated.

For process optimization of set of goods two technologies were implemented: voice selection (Pick-by-Voice) and set using the data collection terminal (DCT). System operation is ensured by 300 shipping documentations of Motorola of MC 9590, 10 frost-resistant shipping documentations Psion Omnii XT15F, 20 shipping documentations VC5090 and 120 of voice Voxter terminals mounted on the loader.

Every day in a warehouse more than 1,000,000 warehouse transactions are executed. Specialists TopLog successfully used the tool "1C: Command center performance" using which achieved high-speed performance and scalability of TopLog WMS.

The module "Integration with a Video Surveillance System" allows a security service to sort matters of argument quickly. Thanks to the module "Dashboards" in a warehouse in the online mode all operational information about accomplishment of orders and warnings of a deviation from standards for shipment is output to plasma display panels.

Based on the first six months of commercial operation will reach the following effect of implementation:

• the quantity of errors and resorts at set was reduced three times;
• average output of work of one typesetter increased from 800 to 1,300 order lines for change;
• during peak loads the warehouse processes up to 240,000 order lines, advancing a former indicator twice;
• duration of single run of typesetters is reduced by 40% thanks to automatic planning of a route of the loader;
• training of the accepted employees became simpler: the training takes only one day;
• operational monitoring of build process of orders is provided;
• control of issue of tasks according to the schedule of loading of transport is organized;
• the staff of the operators providing shipment process is reduced three times.

In the conditions of the aggressive market of distribution of food modern WMS with voice actuation is serious competitive advantage. Having reached positive effect from TopLog WMS implementation, we started replication of a system in other warehouses of our holding. For April, 2019 the warehouse Horeca, a warehouse of fruit and vegetables are already automated and also at the beginning of 2019 years in Dzerzhinsk are put into operation additional 20,000 sq.m. with functions 3PL.

2015: Automation of a warehouse management system

November 14, 2015. The TopLog company announced completion of automation of the warehouse management system TopLog WMS, 1C:Enterprise 8 created on a technology platform, in Dolce vita holding which covered 400 jobs. At a complete set of orders the technology of voice selection is used now that allowed to accelerate twice assembly of orders and by 3 times to reduce errors and peresorta at a set of goods. Routes of the movement of employees and transport on a warehouse are optimized, duration of single run of the equipment is reduced by 40%. There was an opportunity to within a second to control accomplishment of orders - since a set of goods and finishing it with loading. Today using a system the distribution center of the company ships 1,000 tons of products a day.

Earlier a set of goods was executed according to paper that led to emergence of errors and resorts at a complete set of orders. Daily each of 150 typesetters managed to process on average in 800 positions of the nomenclature for change that there was insufficiently for ensuring operational work of a warehouse in the conditions of an escalating goods turnover and expansion of the range of products. It was impracticable to control transactions of acceptance and shipment of goods to online the mode. Optimal routes of the movement of employees and the equipment on a warehouse were not developed that also reduced the speed of set of goods and replenishment of storage locations.

The modern warehouse management system which would allow to accelerate a set of goods and its shipment to outlets became necessary for the enterprise. The TopLog company - the partner of 1C company became the contractor of the project. For creation of a new information system the solution TopLog WMS on a technology platform of 1C:Enterprise 8 was selected.

During the WMS project it was integrated with the solution "1C: Trade Management 8" which is used in the company what allowed to automate problems of operational and management accounting, the analysis and planning of trade and warehouse transactions in a complex. For assessment and performance improvement of a system by specialists of TopLog the tool "is used by 1C: Command center performance".

• during the work on voice technology the employee uses the special terminal with the earphone and the microphone. The solution TopLog WMS automatically generates voice commands to the typesetter, and he confirms their accomplishment via the microphone. It released hands to the employee of a warehouse who is not distracted by work with the terminal and standard sheet now. As a result assembly of large orders and also assembly of orders in zones with volume and heavy goods, such as groceries (34500 sq.m) and epicure (9000 sq.m) accelerated.
• set using a data collection terminal is used in zones with small areas to 5000 sq.m. and with orders, small on volume. Besides, in a system the technology of simultaneous assembly of orders for 4 clients is implemented that also increases the speed of set of goods.
• in total in a warehouse 120 sets of voice terminals and also more than 300 data collection terminals are used.

Processes of a complete set, acceptance, rejection, feed and placement of goods are automated. In the course of feed a system most effectively plans a way of the loader and minimizes movement of the user without execution of operations. As a result duration of single run of special equipment is reduced by 40%.

In the territory of the distribution center 620 surveillance cameras are placed, personal numbers on a uniform are assigned to employees, and time on video servers is synchronized with the WMS system that allows a security service to sort quickly matters of argument, and to service of quality - quickly to react to customer complaints. To within a second accomplishment of each order is controlled now, since a set of goods and finishing it with loading. All operational information about accomplishment of orders and also warnings of a deviation from standards for shipment is output to specially installed plasma display panels in the online mode.

According to the results of the first six months of use of a system the following results are received:

• average output of one typesetter increased from 800 to 1300 order lines for change;
• during peak loads the warehouse processes up to 230000 order lines, advancing a former indicator twice;
• training of new employees became simpler, the training takes 1 day;
• operational monitoring of build process of orders is provided;
• control of issue of tasks according to the schedule of loading of transport is organized;
• need of manual entry of data in a system is excluded that allows to reduce load of operators of 80%, the staff of specialists in accounting of goods is cut down for 50%, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
