2016: Expansion of a line WheelHouse
On July 22, 2016 the Siemon company announced expansion of a line WheelHouse inclusion of a system of the partitions isolating cold corridors (CAC, Cold Aisle Containment) and hot (HAC, Hot Aisle Containment).
According to the statement of the company, use of the solution increases efficiency of cooling systems and expands possibilities of modern data processing centers at the low cost level.
The upgraded system of partitions and dividers separates cold corridors from hot zones in data processing centers and directs the cooling air to the equipment heated – to by-pass air ducts, preventing their mixing. Withdrawal of flows of heated air increases efficiency of the existing cooling systems and reduces costs for the electric power, allowing conditioning blocks to work in the machine hall in the optimal mode. Similar solutions increase refrigerating capacity in DPC without installation of additional refrigerating appliances.
More high temperature of returnable air flows does heat exchange in cooling systems to more intensive. The performance indicator of use of energy of PUE improves, and costs for the electric power decrease as fans can work with smaller speed. It is possible to use a cooling water with more high temperature, and economizers work a bigger number of hours. At the same time active equipment in DPC is cooled sufficiently to support high performance for all life. The system of the isolating partitions is suitable both for use in new DPCs, and for upgrade of earlier built machine halls. It is economic method to prevent excessive development of cold, but at the same time to allow a data processing center to extend and be improved. The partitions isolating cold corridors can be used on the objects equipped with raised floors and which are not using returnable air ducts. In the system of the isolating partitions of Siemon the reliable sealants providing heat insulation are applied. For department of cold corridors the panels blocking a corridor on top are used. Vertical back panels of cabinets are applied to isolation of hot zones. From end faces corridors are blocked by unary or double doors which are offered in the options which are closed automatically or manually. Also the panels allowing to close tightly a corridor from an end face are offered. All components are intended for fast installation on objects in addition to cabinets of Siemon VersaPOD, V800 and V600 for data processing centers. The system of partitions is also compatible to frames of SidePOD and the directing partitions of Baffle of production of Siemon company which provide side cooling to those types of the equipment which need it. A system can be added with a wide range of accessories and the accompanying names, including continuous panels stubs (block positions and apertures in which cabinets are not set), brackets for fastening to a wall (are used for unary ranks of cabinets), the angle supporting brackets for vertical panels (are applied in the absence of fastening to upper overlappings) and also the upper installation brackets filling gaps when using in a general series of cabinets of models of the reduced height (42U).

On November 10, 2015 the Siemon company announced WheelHouse release - groups of modern solutions for support of DPC of any size and type: from big high-performance computing environments and server for joint placement to small and medium data processing centers at the enterprises.
