JSC Chumak performed optimization by means of virtualization

On November 10, 2015 the Softline Ukraine company announced the project on virtualization of client operating systems in Chumak company. The project is executed on the VMware platform.

Project Tasks

The Chumak manufacturing enterprise needed cost reduction on administration of workstations of users and increase in life of the computing equipment.

For the solution of this task the customer independently unrolled the project on virtualization by means of which saved on service, replacement of the equipment and consumption of energy resources.

In a year JSC Chumak had a need for partner support, in particular - increase in quantity of client operating systems.

Joined in the project, on the basis of the long-term agreement, Softline Ukraine company.

Project Progress

The parties made the decision to execute the project on the basis of the product VMware Horizon View. The choice of this solution was promoted by its functionality and use by the customer of an environment of virtualization from VMware.

Project Results

"Our cooperation with Softline Ukraine lasts not the first year. According to the results of the new joint project it was succeeded to increase quantity of the virtualized jobs of the enterprise from 50 to 70. It allowed to cut down expenses of the company on IT administration mainly by redistribution of our resources", – Evgeny Enkov, the head of group of information technologies of JSC Chumak noted.

"We implemented solutions on the VMware platform. As a result we managed to optimize work of IT infrastructure according to requirements of the customer. The product VMware Horizon View allowed to reduce infrastructure costs, to use a virtual corporate desktop and also a uniform image of the operating system from any devices out of office", - Roman Podayev, the manager with key clients of Softline Ukraine company emphasized.
