That allowed IT service "OEK" to keep calm

On December 3, 2015 the CROC company announced deployment of the corporate Integrated Power Construction Corporation (IPCC) mail systems in a cloud of CROC.

Comparing a consumption pattern of cloud resources and operation of own server park, the customer considered economically more justified the scheme of outsourcing of computing powers. She allows to use modern IT solutions of high degree of reliability without large initial investments and with flexible distribution of payments depending on consumption volume.

Construction object of "OEK" (2013)

At the end of 2014 the IT department of OEK started study of the most effective methods of upgrade of infrastructure. The deadline of operation of the hardware-software systems for the systems of corporate e-mail and the joint communications in the geographically distributed company came to an end.

Having compared the cost of purchase of own equipment and use of a cloud for three years, the customer came to a conclusion that costs are comparable. But the cloud, meanwhile, allows to distribute funds during all life and not to think of possible hardware upgrade several years later. Also it gives the chance to quickly increase resources without acquisition of additional hardware capacities on conducting project activity. And the systems of corporate mail and unified communications — traditionally resource-intensive solutions requiring smoothly running processes and resources of data storage. Besides, having selected a cloud, OEK increased reliability of service for employees.

Project Results

Office of the customer - in the leased territory. Before transition to Virtual data center of CROC server capacities of the company were placed on the area of providers of the tenant. It meant additional expenses on lease of the server areas and the choice of suppliers of outsourcing IT services proceeding from the opportunities offered by business center. At the same time the fault tolerance of computing infrastructure of office provider and skill level of his technical specialists did not conform to requirements of OEK.

Oleg Goltsov, the head of information technology, told:

- Reputation of CROC as provider of cloud services, it will not be compared to reputation of the local operator. We work with CROC not the first year. And already managed to make sure that skill level of specialists very high, and infrastructure reliable. When there are questions on work of a cloud, support of CROC arrives on time always. It allows us to feel safe always.

Maxim Berezin, the head of Virtual data center of CROC, noted:

- The companies which are engaged in construction and development often are interested in opportunities which are given to their business by a cloud. Among such opportunities there is a fast deployment of project offices of the selected projects, investment into profile types of activity, but not in infrastructure, flexible response to the changing situation in the market. Also it is worth to remember that it is possible to suggest customers of future business center to address providers of cloud services to receive the guaranteed quality level — then the management company should not think of storage capacities for the clients, neither of ensuring communication, nor of the expensive engineering systems for smooth operation of the computing equipment at all.
