2024: INF-500AP RM (3U), INF-800AP RM(3U), INF-1100AP RM (3U) и INF-1500AP RM(3U)
POWERCOM on September 18, 2024 introduced updated UPS models of the INFINITY line. INFINITY Series (INF) solutions refer to single-phase linear interactive UPSs with pure sinusoid output.
These models are compact 6-socket UPSs in rack version - INF-500AP RM (3U), INF-800AP RM (3U), INF-1100AP RM (3U) and INF-1500AP RM (3U) with power of 500VA, 800VA, 1100VA and 1500VA, respectively.
The devices are designed to connect external AGM (VRLA) batteries of large capacity (up to 200 Ah), which provides long battery life of the protected equipment at low costs. The models combine the functionality of several devices at the same time: inverter, voltage stabilizer, network filter and UPS (when connecting the battery). They have built-in protection against overvoltage, short circuit, overload and are equipped with an informative LCD display.
Entry-level models INFINITY (INF-500 RM, INF-800 RM) operate with 12V bus voltage. Recommended capacity of connected batteries 65-200Ah (not included). The maximum charge current is 10A, which helps to quickly charge large enough batteries.
The older INFINITY models (INF-1100 RM and INF-1500 RM) operate with a 24V bus voltage, which means that at least two series-connected external batteries must be connected with a rated voltage 12V each. Or a set of several parallel lines, including two serially connected batteries in each. Recommended capacity of connected batteries 100-200Ah (not included). The maximum charge current of the older INFs is also higher and is 15A
Features of the INFINITY series:
- Linear interactive technology with output voltage in the form of a pure sinusoid.
- Microprocessor control.
- LCD panel with a rich set of performance indicators.
- Sinusoidal output waveform in all operating modes - allows to connect equipment with pulse and transformer (inductive load) power supply units.
- Automatic voltage regulator AVR (Auto Voltage Regulation), which is responsible for constant stabilization of the input voltage in a fairly wide range of 150-275 volts (at the input voltage of the mains ~ 220V ± 10%).
- Provide a long time of autonomy by connecting external battery 12V.
- Improved battery management to extend battery life.
- Protection against short circuit and overload, HF and pulse interference at UPS output.
- Automatic battery charging when off.
- A USB communication port for communication with a computer will allow you to shut down the system in a timely manner with data storage.
- Rack version of the housing. Rack-mounted design (RM (3U)) can be integrated into data centers or server rooms.
- Instant UPS status monitoring is available via remote control system.
INFINITY (INF) series models can be used to protect various equipment requiring a sinusoidal power voltage and long autonomy time. It can be either computing, server, communication equipment, or electrical equipment of a private house or cottage (heating boilers, pumps, lighting, etc.). At the same time, their correct operation is possible only with external batteries.
2017: INF-1100 и INF-1500
On January 30, 2017, Powercom announced the replenishment of the Infinity series of linear-interactive UPS with two older INF-1100 and INF-1500 models with a capacity of 1100 VA and 1500 VA, respectively.
Linearly interactive devices provide a clean sinusoid of the electric signal at the output, combining the functionality of the inverter, voltage stabilizer and, in fact, UPS. To ensure uninterruptible power supply, it is necessary to connect external batteries or battery complexes, which allows you to flexibly approach the time of providing autonomy and achieve indicators - 7 or 12 hours, depending on the number of batteries and the power of the protected load.
INF-1100 and INF-1500 operate at a bus voltage of 24 V, which implies the use of two series-connected external batteries with a nominal voltage of 12 V each or a set of several parallel lines, two series-connected batteries. The recommended capacity of connected batteries is 100-200 Ah. The maximum charge current in older models has been increased to 15 A.
The scope of INF-1100 and INF-1500 is a wide range of equipment and engineering equipment that requires a sinusoidal power voltage and a long autonomy time. Infinity UPS is suitable for the protection of electrical equipment and engineering systems of a private house or cottage, including gas or solid fuel heating boilers, pumps, lighting systems, etc.
INF-1100 and INF-1500 work silently, are less sensitive to temperature and pollution levels, which removes any special installation requirements. An LCD panel with a rich set of indicators and a USB port for connecting external devices simplify manual control. Additional advantages include the Battery Polarity Fault indicator, which allows you to comply with the correct polarity when connecting and avoid even accidental errors.
The devices are characterized by high reliability. Russia UPS In will be available in February 2017.
2015: INF-500 и INF-800
December 12, 2015. Powercom has introduced linear-interactive UPS with a clean sinusoid and the ability to connect a large number of batteries. The series is called INFINITY and includes two models: INF-500 and INF-800. UPSs combine several functions simultaneously, being an inverter, voltage stabilizer and, in fact, an UPS (when connecting a conventional battery). The ability to connect any standard battery 12V, including high capacity (up to 200 Ah), provides long battery life at minimal cost.
Uninterruptible power supply INF-500/ INF-800, 2015
This fact significantly expands the scope of these devices and makes them indispensable, for example, when ensuring the protection of critical devices of a private house or cottage: a gas or solid fuel heating boiler, various water supply pumps, lighting, as well as complex electronics.
In fact, INF combines several functions at the same time, being an inverter, voltage stabilizer and UPS (when connecting a regular battery). The principle of operation is quite simple. When the voltage in the network is turned off, INF switches to battery operation and converts the constant voltage of 12 volts to an alternating voltage of 220 volts, and when a normal voltage appears in the network, it automatically switches to battery charging mode.
The most flexible option in terms of ensuring the desired time of autonomy is the use of a regular 12-volt car battery. By connecting batteries in parallel, you can simply achieve the required capacity. When connected in parallel, the voltage remains constant, and the capacitance of the battery is summed up. The maximum charge current of INF is 10A, which is quite enough for fast charging of large enough batteries. The recommended capacity of connected batteries is 65-200 Ah.
In addition, the presence of AVR is responsible for the constant stabilization of the input voltage in a fairly wide range of 150-275 volts.
