Content

According to bases USRLE and "Circuit.focus", Fastvel group LLC was formed in February, 2008. Founders in different shares are Sergey and Nadezhda Sorokiny acted. The CEO is Konstantin Korneev.

The Fastwel company, on own assurance, conducts the history since 1992 when the team of the Russian development engineers who had work experience in space-rocket area was collected. Their activity then was focused on development and production of an electronic equipment for responsible application, and the product line in the popular MicroPC format became the first project.

The company began to get own production capacities in 2000. In 2005 the line of surface mount of electronic modules which, allegedly, in a complex with two already existing lines allows to set automatically all types of components with an optimal speed and required accuracy was put into commercial operation. A range of the made products: from simple modules from 10-30 by components "onboard" and with a circulation of tens of thousands to difficult processor modules in the CompactPCI format based on the Pentium M processor with a frequency up to 2 GHz.

Component parts of the modules Fastwel are Intel processors and AMD and also STMicroelectronics companies, the developer of electronics for industrial applications; besides, printed circuit boards of SEP company are used.

The stated speed of assembly, equal 40 thousand components per hour, at a two-shift operation mode gives the chance to produce from 500 to 5 thousand (depending on complexity) electronic modules in day and, respectively, to 100 thousand modules a month.

Modules for the onboard systems

As CNews knew [1], the Russian company Fastwel began development based on the domestic Baikal-T1 processor of the computing module for onboard automated systems of responsible application.

Fastwel explained CNews that it is about creation of a hardware platform which could be used not in normal stationary office PCs, and in the computer systems working in specific conditions out of premises, in particular, on transport (in cars, tractors, railway locomotives, airplanes and so forth).

To such systems (to on-board computers, auto pilots and so forth) and electronics involved in them increased requirements in fault tolerance and immunity are imposed to blows and vibrations, temperature drops, changes of humidity, pressure and so forth.

Fastwel of end onboard devices does not make. The company is going to release the first batch of model samples of the module (about 10-20 pieces) by the end of 2016. Further their functional testing with participation of manufacturer representatives of processors — Baikal Electronics companies will begin to be performed. If check does not reveal serious problems, then modules will be transferred to testing to key customers of Fastwel — system integrators.

Further there will come queue of tests on klimatiku / to the mechanic, correction of design documentation (if necessary) and start of pilot batch which volume, mainly, will define fidbek from customers.

Approximately, the price of the module will not exceed one thousand p100.

Sphere of future use of modules

The created module which received name CPC313 is designed according to the standard of creation of the highly reliable stack StackPC systems. It includes all main advantages of family of PC/104 specifications, complementing them with support of modern high-speed interfaces. Fastwel assures that developers of the final systems can apply both StackPC Fastwel expansion units, and modules of the PCI/104-Express standard of different producers together with CPC313.

All CPC313 components, including OZU and a flash disk, will be soldered on a payment, providing to a product high resistance to mechanical loadings. Communication opportunities of CPC313 will have to allow to kompleksirovat it with the broadest spectrum of the existing equipment supporting both the classical serial interface RS232, and advanced — GB / 10Гб Ethernet and PCI Express x4 Gen 2.0. Support of the VGA and LVDS video interfaces should provide to CPC313 integration into the majority of displays.

The applied complete set will allow to operate CPC313 in the temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C. As the operating system customers will be able to use different versions of Linux, including QNX and its certified version of KPDA.
