GIS and space monitoring of the Kaluga region

THE PERFORMED WORKS

• Delivery of pictures of ultrahigh permission to the territory of large localities and pictures of RapidEye occurring at different times and Landsat-8 on the territory of the Kaluga region is executed.
• Preliminary and thematic processing of space pictures is executed.
• Technologies of the automated thematic decodifying of pictures are developed.
• Selective on-site investigation for calibration and verification of results of decodifying is conducted.
• Based on decodifying of space pictures the including set of the thematic vector layers equipped with legends is prepared GIS project.
• The geoinformational portal and mobile version of the portal with the adapted interface is created.
• Documentation is developed and it is provided training, the portals and its mobile version allowing the customer to service independently.
• Technical support of the portal and mobile version is performed.
  

Important processing stage of pictures is thematic decodifying of a status and use of agricultural grounds within which the following work types were executed:

• Identification and mapping of types of agricultural grounds (arable lands the used, arable lands not used, long-term plantings the used and not used, fodder agricultural grounds net (haymakings, pastures), fodder agricultural grounds overgrown with wood and shrubby vegetation).
  

Results The main result of works is the geoinformational portal with the published space data illustrating a status and use of agricultural grounds of the Kaluga region.
