2015: HPE StoreEver LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 External Tape Drive

HPE StoreEver LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 External Tape Drive is the external device of reading/magnetic type recording of LTO-7 specification.

The tape drive LTO Ultrium provides up to 15 TB condensed data on one cartridge.

The HPE LTO-7 Ultrium 1500 device is equipped with the buffer of 1024 MB in size, the transmission rate of uncompressed these 300 MB / c, tape length in a cartridge ~ 960 m, the speed of rewind of a tape of 9 m / c.

The magnetic head contains 32 modules which write 3584 tracks on a tape 12.65 mm wide. Recording density is 485 Kb/inch. On complete recovery of information from a tape in a cartridge 960 meters long 5 hours 36 min. will be required.

2015: Beginning of sales of StoreEver LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 External Tape Drive

On December 22, 2015 HPE announced the beginning of sales of HPE LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 in integrated (LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 SAS Internal) and external execution (HPE StoreEver LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 External Tape Drive).
