Software Selection

In 2009 in ABOUT GRANIT need of implementation of the automated control system for the private security company including two main directions ripened: Console protection and Physical protection.

As the ready applications having required functionality in the market were not, the decision on creation of the new application was made by own forces. It was for this purpose necessary to select the platform allowing to simplify and accelerate as much as possible development process.

As the director of consolidation worked with the ERP system of the ORACLE ELITE COMPASS and a possibility of Masters of the COMPASS in due time made very positive impression on it, KOMPAS was selected from quality of the platform practically on an uncontested basis.

General Description of the Project

In the same 2009th year 10 licenses for the CRM system of KOMPAS were purchased: Marketing and management. Using Masters of the COMPASS forces of one developer for three calendar months implemented the following functionality:

For control automation by Physical protection:

  • maintaining reference book of Posts of protection;
  • maintaining the reference book of Personnel in which, in addition, clothing sizes, data on retraining and other characteristics connected with specifics of activity are kept;
  • automatic drawing up (list) of requests in police for issue of cards of the security guard;
  • control, formation and printing of cards of the security guard and accompanying documents;
  • maintaining the Diagram of service on posts and personnel with a possibility of fixing of replacements;
  • maintaining the Magazine of checks of service with fixing of results of check;
  • maintaining the Event log containing all emergency situations on posts, the involved security guards and result of work;
  • maintaining the reference book of the Weapon and specifics containing the complete list of units of weapon, the specifics and individual protection equipment which are available in at the enterprise and also orders on fixing of weapon and specifics behind posts;
  • the automated preparation of documents for obtaining permissions to storage and use of weapon (RHI and RSL);
  • fixing of issue of weapon to personnel.

For control automation by Console protection:

  • maintaining the list of the Protected objects containing number, the name, a type, a class, type (stationary/mobile), the status of protection of an object, the address, phone, the customer, the agreement of protection, arrival time and a number of other characteristics and also lists of contact persons and the installed equipment for each object;
  • maintaining the list of Agreements which includes agreements of protection, maintenance, installation of equipment and rescue and recovery operations;
  • maintaining the section Services of an object with automatic formation of the diagram of maintenance and control of execution of service;
  • control, formation and printing of cards of the security guard and accompanying documents;
  • maintaining the list of Notifications to services with control of execution of notifications;
  • maintaining the Runtime journal of the maintenance containing acts of accomplishment of service, the list of contractors, information on service, etc.;
  • maintaining the list of Acts of the departure on the protected objects serving, in particular, for job analysis of service of console protection;
  • maintaining the list of Requests of clients for installation, the maintenance and rescue and recovery operations which arrived not only from real, but also potential clients;
  • automatic formation of the Tasks for execution serving for control of performing discipline according to Requests of clients.

In November of the 2009th year the developed functionality is put in working operation in 18 workplaces.

Project Features

The management system ABOUT GRANIT is developed practically without use of standard functionality of the CRM system of KOMPAS: Marketing and management (except for several general reference books).

Developed by software can serve as industry solution for the private security companies.
