Within the large-scale project on updating of the capital and ancillary equipment with accumulation of power of the Balkhash combined heat and power plant located on the Lake Balkhash in RK Kazakhstan, Tornado Modular Systems Ltd made the ACS software and hardware complex turbine units of the 2nd, 3rd and sixth power units BTETs.

PTK serves for automated management of steam turbines of PT-30 and R-25/90 types in all modes of their work.

The Tornado software and hardware complexes will be used at the enterprises of Norilsk Nickel MMC. On December 17 production and shipment of the equipment of an APCS of JSC Norilsk Nickel MMC is complete.

PTK of the last generation guarantees the high level of stability in work, allows to carry out deep upgrade without stopping of work of all system and interruption of technology processes, including installation/dismantling of separate blocks. A computing core of a system is the industrial computer with passive cooling of iPC Gridex developed and released by Tornado Modular Systems company

The volume of the equipment of PTK - 21 cabinets, from which 1 cabinet of PB, 1 cabinet of gateways, 17 cabinets of USO, 2 system cabinets. Besides 4 pieces of an automated workplace of the manager, 1 automated workplace of the engineer and 1 EKP. All automated workplaces in this project are for the first time executed on PC compatible GRIDEX-CPU computers. Automation volume: electric part of seven hydraulic units. Plus local subsystems, such as STK of 1-7 generators (system of temperature control), RZ of 1-7 generators (relay protection), excitation system 1-7G, SAUG of 1-7 generators (automatic control system generators), etc.
