M.Video (SAP NetWeaver BPM)

The EVOLA company completed the "Automation of Vacation Planning, Registration and Transfer of Planned Holidays" project for retail network "M.Video" using the SAP solution NetWeaver Business Process Management, the press service of the company integrator reported on October 24, 2012.

Background

For implementation of process of schedule control of holidays often all the MS Excel is used that is not absolutely effective as means participation of a large number of employees and involves a number of difficulties. It is obvious that in the company with big number of staff, the relevance of automation of this process does not raise doubts. In M.Video company which successfully uses modern solutions of SAP for automation of planning process and approval of holidays the SAP solution NetWeaver BPM with close integration with SAP HCM is used.

"We entrusted implementation of this project of EVOLA company with which we already cooperated earlier and not so long ago completed process automation using SAP NetWeaver BPM, in particular, process of maintaining partners. Now we were convinced of efficiency of the offered tool and for HR of processes, especially difficult processes of approval of a large number of participants, - Vladimir Natalevich, the head of support department and development of the IC in the HR direction noted. – We received the excellent tool for flexible management and accurate control of process".

Solution and scope

The project of automation embraced processes:

• vacation planning on the company (formation of the diagram of T-7),
• automatic exit of employees in a planned holiday,
• manual requests of holidays employees,
• replanning of the vacation schedule.

At the automatically determined stages of processes such documents as form:

• the order on a holiday;
• the notification on an exit in a holiday for employees with a planned holiday;
• the application for an exit in a holiday for employees without planned holiday;
• application for transfer;
• the subscription list when forming the diagram of T-7;
• the report for the head;
• the vacation schedule in a summary form.

"Implementing this project, we significantly unloaded HR department, having provided the convenient mechanism of work for all employees. Time for accomplishment of many transactions was reduced on average by 10 times. If on maintaining information earlier on holidays in the HCM SAP ERP system, formation of documents and reports was required from 5 to 15 minutes, then now these transactions are executed less than in a minute that taking into account the total number of personnel of M.Video company gives significant reduction of time. Informing the employee on the status of request on a holiday is performed in real time", - Vladimir Natalevich noted project deliverables.

Result

With implementation of the SAP BPM tool interrelations of all participants of process of approval of holidays improved and accelerated, the staff of HR department can devote more time to more interesting challenges, and in general in M.Video company it was succeeded to reduce the number of unused holiday days taking into account needs and features of the company and observance of all rules of the labor law.
