2019: Upgrade of a part of engineering infrastructure of data center on Varshavskoye Highway

On December 9, 2019 AKADO Telecom announced completion of upgrade of a part of engineering infrastructure of data center on Varshavskoye Highway: the operator replaced all uninterruptible power supply units necessary for ensuring continuous power supply of the DPC put into operation in 2009. Installation of more modern and effective equipment will allow AKADO to increase reliability of an object and will reduce costs for the electric power by 15%.

DPC

For upgrade of engineering infrastructure of AKADO UPS series DPH "Delta Electronics" 500 kVA which efficiency in the normal mode reaches 96.5%, and were selected from economic – 99%. Completely modular construction of the UPS with a possibility of hot swap of principal components reduces to zero risk of idle times. Reservation components and the double bus CAN provide the maximum readiness of the UPS and exclude system failure probability at fault of one element.

Singular technical solution with full redundancy (1+1) and accurately executed step-by-step upgrade, allowed to replace the equipment without interruption in provision of services of data center.

2017: Upgrade of a system of power supply of DPC

In the spring of 2017 the COMCOR company announced completion of upgrade of a system of power supply of DPC. Within upgrade in 2016 the data center on Varshavskoye Highway received additional electric power of 2.5 MW by connection to a new utility substation using specially constructed cable lines. Thus, the cumulative electric power of accession to power network exceeds 5.5 MW today that allows to increase the nomenclature and the number of services of DPC. Also hardware upgrade of a system of uninterrupted power was carried out. Specialists of the company applied unique technical solution which allowed to perform works without interruption in provision of services of data center.

Upgrade of energy systems

In 2016 AKADO Telecom carried out upgrade of energy systems: the data center received additional electric power of 2.5 MW, the added lines of power supply were connected to 2nd specially constructed to the reserved transformer substations. Cumulative electric power of accession to power network exceeded 5.5 MW.

The certificate of conformity to the Tier III level in category Design

In the spring of 2016 of DPC of JSC COMCOR on Varshavskoye Highway received the certificate of conformity to the level of reliability Tier III in category Design from the international organization of Uptime Institute.

Start in operation of DPC on Varshavskoye Highway

Moscow Telecommunications Corporation of COMCOR (trademark of AKADO Telecom) and Huawei company, AMTs-group brought at the beginning of 2016 into operation a new Data processing center of AKADO Telecom on Varshavskoye Highway. For Huawei the project of construction of DPC in Russia became the first cloud data center, completely implemented on the equipment of Huawei.

The data center of AKADO Telecom of 1200 sq.m is expected 200 racks with a total power up to 2 MW. For the organization of external power supply two additional transformer substations are constructed. Level of reliability of DPC corresponds to Tier3 on Uptime Institute classification. It means that any equipment of data center can be displaid in scheduled repair without interruption in work. COMCOR is included into ten the Russian companies which DPC has such high level of reliability.

The Huawei company acted as the general contractor of the project: specialists carried out a full range of actions, beginning from design and finishing with supply of equipment, installation and commissioning. All responsible equipment of DPC, from power supply systems and cooling, to a local computer network - production of Huawei company. In DPC the first 96 racks are already set. The full load of data center is expected during 2016.

AMT Group together with Huawei developed complex organizational technical solutions, necessary construction works are carried out; selection, delivery, installation and setup of the equipment for DPC; commissioning is performed. High qualification of specialists of AKADO Telecom, timely ensuring readiness of infrastructure and operational approval of the proposed technical solutions allowed to complete the project in a short time.


In addition to traditional services the provider is ready to offer clients of new DPC service Virtual server based on the equipment of Huawei. Clients can rent computing powers (IaaS) of a cloud platform of AKADO Telecom for creation of own infrastructure in "cloud" and at the expense of it to have the round-the-clock access to completely isolated autonomous infrastructure from any place in the world.

The DPC became the third data center of AKADO Telecom, the biggest across the occupied territory. After its start total area about 2 thousand sq.m. will be a total quantity of the racks serviced by provider 423.

For optimization of investments into the project the possibility of commissioning of the equipment of engineering infrastructure of DPC by two start-up complexes, on 50% of the planned complete engineering resource of DPC was provided.


Systems providing long-term, fault-free and safe functioning and operation of the server hardware placed in it entered engineering infrastructure of DPC:

  • Power supply system and lighting;
  • System of technology conditioning;
  • Ventilation system and gas eliminations;
  • System of a drainage and abnormal water removal;
  • Monitoring system and schedulings of the engineering systems;
  • The Structured Cabling System (SCS) including:
  • local computer network (LCN);
  • linearly-a cable system (LCS);
  • The system of complex security of DPC in structure:
  • system of the security fire warning;
  • system of automatic gas fire fighting;
  • warning system and managements of evacuation in case of fire;
  • video surveillance system;
  • control and management system for access.
