2018: 300-600 kVA/kW Modulon DPH
On November 14, 2018 the Delta Electronics company announced the beginning of release of uninterruptible power supply units of Modulon DPH with a power of 300-600 kVA/kW. As well as the former model with power up to 500 kVA, the provided Delta UPS has power density — 50 kVA/kW on the module. In model of 600 kVA/kW of Delta implemented expanded control functions by reservation of power modules. Also in a line models with li-ion cells are provided.
According to IDC, within the next five years growth of annual global traffic is expected five times that demand from DPC of permanent increase in power. According to the developer, the high density of power (50 kVA/kW) on the module 3U high which is provided by the provided Delta Modulon DPH UPS model allows DPC to adapt easily to quickly changing conditions and to avoid excess increase in the sizes of DPC at blueprint stages. Accumulation of power will be further simple and economic in comparison with traditional UPSes in the form of monoblocks which require to provide DPC with sufficient power according to its maximum planned load at once. The high density of power in modules and offices of the UPS of the DPH series allows to reduce the space occupied by infrastructure of ensuring a power supply and, respectively, to leave more place for IT racks.
According to the statement of the developer, reservation of power modules and the dual CAN bus, the built-in control logic and self-clocking belong to advantages of failsafe construction of the Modulon DPH UPS. Additional benefit of adaptable modular construction is the possibility of hot swap of the major components. Parallel inclusion and reservation according to the scheme N+X is allowed (up to 8 UPSes) that allows to bring system power to 4.8 MW. The microprocessor block in the UPS of the DPH series controls key components and parameters of the device and also supports record of a wave form. Possibilities of the analysis and diagnostics of events allow to use the DPH series UPS on such objects with increased requirements to reliability as DPC of the class Tier IV. The Delta UPS of the DPH series helps to protect the environment, providing AC-AC conversion efficiency to 96.5% and 99% in economy mode.
The provided model of the DPH series is equipped with the touch screen, a management system and monitoring and also a control system of batteries. The color 10-inch touch screen allows to browse log entries of events and to get access to diagnostic information, noted in Delta Electronics.
2017: Modulon DPH 500 in Russia
In October Delta Electronics announced an output to the Russian market of the uninterruptible power supply units (UPSU) the 500 kVA Modulon DPH. Delta online UPSes with double conversion provide power density (55.6 kVA on one module 3U high). Thanks to modular construction, the UPS have potential of flexible configuring for reservation of power supply and also allow to increase power and to execute scaling with a possibility of "payment in process of growth" (pay-as-you-grow). The Modulon DPH UPS of 500 kVA is new model in the DPH series which the 75, 150 and 200 kVA models also enter.
At the time of an exit of the Delta UPS model with a high density of power in the next five years growth of annual world IP traffic is expected almost three times. Significant growth in traffic and, respectively, the need for increase in power of DPC is connected with development of technologies of Internet of Things, Big Data and distribution of video requiring broad capacity. The highest power density in the industry (55.6 kVA on the module 3U high) which is provided by the Delta Modulon DPH UPS new model of 500 kVA, allows DPC to adapt to quickly changing requirements easily.
The high density of power allows to avoid excess increase in the sizes of DPC (one of basic reasons on which are afraid of it, is connected with lease cost) at blueprint stages. Accumulation of power in the future will be simple and economic thanks to building block solutions – in comparison with traditional UPSes in the form of monoblocks which require to provide DPC with sufficient power according to its maximum planned load at once. Besides, the high density of power allows to reduce the space occupied by infrastructure solutions on ensuring a power supply and, respectively, to leave more place for providing income IT is resistant.
Reservation of power modules and the dual CAN bus, the built-in control logic and self-clocking belong to advantages of failsafe construction of the Modulon DPH UPS of 500 kVA. Additional benefit of adaptable modular construction is the possibility of hot swap of important components. Well parallel reservation according to the scheme N+X (up to 8 UPSes). Besides, the possibility of hot swap of modules allows to reduce holding time by 50% in comparison with traditional UPSes. All these opportunities allow to apply the DPH series UPS for solving of tasks requiring high reliability in DPC of the Tier IV level. Besides, the new Delta UPS helps to protect the environment, providing the efficiency of conversion of alternating current in variable to 96.5% during the normal work and 99% in economy mode.
On March 22, 2016 the Delta Electronics company provided the modular Modulon DPH UPS of 500 kVA.
Modulon DPH of 500 kVA has high power capacity on the power (55 kVA) and power density on the module (22.78 W/inch ³), provides reduction of operating costs and economy of the place.
The DPH UPS with a possibility of hot swap of modules provides uninterrupted power and supports scalable accumulation of power. Reservation of the module of management and a pro-active diagnostic system of faults of key components of the new DPH UPS of 500 kVA minimize duration of equipment downtimes. The integrated, standardized architecture of the InfraSuite platform provides high reliability of a system.
2014: Modulon DPH 75-150
On November 27, 2014 the Delta Electronics company announced release of uninterruptible power supply units of Modulon DPH with a power of 75-150 kW.
Devices will add the DPH series which is earlier provided by models from 25 kW to 200 kW.
In a new series complete with the UPS two optional devices intended for placement in the same rack are offered: office of power distribution and battery modules. The new solution which is specially designed for small and medium DPCs provides regular power supply, power distribution and "hot" replacement of batteries, allowing to increase power, remaining in compact dimensions.
High stability of the UPS of the Modulon DPH series is reached thanks to mutual reservation of the power modules managed by the built-in automatic system. At failure of the main module reserve is automatically connected, providing thereby uninterrupted energy supply. Besides, "hot" replacement of all major components and modules is provided in constructions of the UPS that simplifies maintenance and reduces to zero mean time to repair of a system after failure (MTTR).
Modular construction of the Modulon DPH UPS provides integration and scalability, both for vertical, and for the horizontal growth of DPC. As much as possible to conform to the changing requirements of small and medium business, the DPH series provides a possibility of accumulation of rated power from 25 kW to 75/150/200 kW, and at parallel connection of four devices allows to bring power to 800 kW. Besides, the high efficiency, electrical power factor, close to unit (kVA = kW) and low nonlinear distortion coefficient help data centers to reduce operating costs.
Technical characteristics and energy efficiency helped devices of the Modulon DPH series to be conferred the award "Save Energy!" in 2013, and in Russia - to receive the nomination on a rank "Technology of Year".
2012: Modulon DPH 25-200
On September 3, 2012 the Delta Electronics company provided Modulon DPH – the three-phase modular UPS. New Modulon DPH has potential of accumulation of power output from 25 to 200 kW that allows not to create an excess stock on power at development of the system of power supply. Besides, the Delta Modulon UPS differs in the highest efficiency (96 at loading in 50), exclusive reliability and scalable construction, providing protection of power supply at considerable decrease in total cost of ownership (TCO) and according to business needs.
The Modulon DPH UPS is completely failsafe system with own reservation of power modules, management systems and the systems of an auxiliary power supply. The full-function control logic of the device allows a system to self-clock at failure of the main module and to switch automatically to reserve, ensuring thereby guaranteed continuous functioning. Other advantages, such as possibility of hot swap of the major components and modules, increase maintainability of the UPS and allow to reduce the average time of repair to zero, providing the maximum error-free running time and the highest reliability of the equipment of DPC.
