2013. Development from the version to the version

On March 25, 2013 the Navicon company announced end of the complex project on automation of activity of Torgovaya ploshchad Group. The project is implemented on the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 platform.

Upgrade basis

"Torgovaya ploshchad Group uses for automation of the activity of Microsoft Dynamics AX long ago: began with version 2.5 with the subsequent transition to version 3.0. Taking into account our specifics in a system a number of modifications which allowed to implement missing functionality was executed. In AX 2009 we saw that within standard functionality many functions, important for us appeared", - Andrey Katsuli, the director of information technology of Floor space company noted.

Solution

Specialists of Navicon conducted examination and designed a system taking into account basic functionality of the new version. It allowed to optimize system operation and to refuse unnecessary modifications. As a result of project implementation the purchasing trading activity, inventory management, by deliveries and transport, settlings with clients, suppliers and branches, management of finance and budgeting and also formation of the necessary reporting were automated.

Within the performed works the volume of the used functions of the solution was significantly expanded. In particular, specialists of the customer had following features:

  • keep the most accurate accounting of cost value which is possible, thanks to constant control of adjustments of planned values according to actual data.
  • exercise control of receivables and payables. Because the customer practices different schemes of work with clients, a system allows to consider different conditions – shipment of goods on credit, setup of a credit limit, credit depth, control of terms on the credits, etc.
  • optimize costs due to implementation of technologies of minimization of use of the central warehouse, such as: direct deliveries, "shipment from wheels", etc.
  • raise the service level of clients due to control automation by transport: the implemented schedule allows to define precisely time and the place of giving to a warehouse of the machine of the specific client / supplier.
  • manage reserve queues that allows managers to work more productively with products in a warehouse and, respectively, to report clients exact date of receipt them goods.
