Gurtam WiaTag

WiaTag is the application the GPS tracker for devices running iOS and Android.

On January 14, 2016 Gurtam announced release of the version for testing of the program WiaTag tracker.

WiaTag is created for work with the platform of monitoring Wialon. The application performs function of position fix of objects by means of the built-in GPS receiver or sensors of the device used by Google Fused, with the subsequent sending the processed geodata for the server.

In the application the functionality is improved:

• binary protocol of interaction with the server for economy of traffic.
• flexibility of setup of methods of position fix, data collection and detection of the movement for economy of battery power.
• the configured user profiles and regime of the administrator for customization of the application under certain tasks (monitoring of the driver, agent, child).
• the menu of quick access for operational sending a photo, location and the emergency signals.
• remote control application.
• sending data manually for control of outgoing information.

It is possible to use WiaTag in the presence of an object in systems Wialon Hosting and Wialon Local. For data protection of the user the password can be used.

The application gives the chance to work with messages in memory of the device or in "a black box". It is possible to obtain information on the number of messages and to control their sending for the server that is important during the work in roaming. Data arrive on the server a packet and transmission time is considerably reduced.

WiaTag provides a possibility of remote control with the application, by means of commands, directly from the system interface of Wialon. Function of inclusion and switching off of the application, a possibility of a request of the photo from a certain camera is available. The command list is limited, afterwards it will be expanded.

For January 14, 2016 the application in stages of open testing and its functionality it is available only to users of Android OS. According to the statement of the company, WiaTag will become available users soon. Terms of an exit of stable release of software it is not announced.
