VTB transferred IT systems of retail business to new disaster-proof model

2018: Transition to the updated disaster-proof model

VTB announced on April 23, 2018 that the Jet Infosystems company executes the project on transfer of the main IT systems of service of retail business of bank to the updated disaster-proof model which guarantees working capacity and security blanket of these clients against losses in case of emergency.

Information systems of bank were reserved based on two geodistributed data centers. Both platforms are active, and their resources will be available in the normal mode. During the periods of peak loads the bank can maintain high availability of the services, without increasing waiting time of clients and employees.

The safety of data is ensured on the majority of the critical systems, including the core banking system, the system of counteraction to fraud, processing, CRM and the system of remote banking providing online connections of individuals.

In case of a non-staff situation information written in databases of the abnormal platform will be dubbed in reserve data center without any losses.

Considering modern risks, for bank it is very important to guarantee reliability of data storage in any situation. The updated model of a katastrofoustochivost allows not to interrupt workflows in case of a non-staff situation. As a result we increased reliability of IT infrastructure and provided necessary stability of functioning of bank services — Sergey Baranov, the Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology of VTB — the senior vice president noted.

The guaranteed stable work of all systems of bank without any failures is a paramount task for IT, this or that bank service at any time can be necessary for the client. For the first months of the project we could transfer several tens of systems, key for business, to the updated model and we continue to provide reservation of some other information systems of bank — Vadim Sokolov, the director of the department of work with banks "Jet Infosystems" reported.

2016: Choice of the supplier of DWH of Hitachi Data Systems

VTB 24 bank determined the system provider of data storage of DWH of Hitachi Data Systems (in a compartment with component parts and software) and also execution of works by installation, installation and a commissioning of the supplied equipment and rendering services in technical support for a period of three years. The corresponding competitive procedure on the website of state procurements acquired the status "is completed"^[1].

The starting price of lot was $30 million. Jet Infosystems and Asteros companies acted as applicants for the contract. On the basis of the received offers from the first of them the customer decided to sign the agreement with the basic price of $15.5 million, with the second — in $14.5 million. However, for determination of the final price of agreements with contractors additional negotiations on decrease in quotations from the corresponding price lists were held afterwards.

Final quotations on rendering services are not published yet. It was not succeeded to recognize them from future contractors of CNews bank.
