Asteros completed design of IT infrastructure for Stadium of Kaliningrad

In March, 2016 the Asteros Group completed design of the technology infrastructure for Stadium of Kaliningrad created within preparation for the FIFA World Cup which is coming in 2018. The project provides implementation of 13 hi-tech systems and FAU "Glavgosekspertiza of Russia" is approved. Construction cost in general is estimated at 17.3 billion rubles.

On the basis of the official request of Russia, according to the solution of FIFA of December 2, 2010, at Stadium of Kaliningrad there will take place matches of the FIFA World Cup of 2018. Construction of the arena began in 2015, and commissioning is planned for November, 2017. The stated capacity of a sports construction — 35 thousand places from which 25 thousand will remain after carrying out the FIFA World Cup. So, in Kaliningrad construction of the two-story stadium equipped with the most modern technological solutions and security systems is supposed. The general designer selected the Central research and project and experimental institute of industrial buildings and constructions (Tsniipromzdany), design of systems was entrusted the Asteros group.

Within design of technology infrastructure of the Kaliningrad stadium the Asteros group carried out the careful analysis of landscape, climatic and other features of an object. At the same time all requirements of both the Russian, and international regulators, including RFU, FIFA and the broadcasting organizations and also standards in the field of physical and information security were considered. Besides, load of the sports arena was taken into account both during World Cup 2018, and in the heritage mode, i.e. after the termination of the FIFA World Cup.

In 1 month, specialists of Asteros designed 13 technology systems of Stadium of Kaliningrad which will provide audiovisual production, the communication environment for TV and broadcastings. So, sound amplification is directed to audio-maintenance of any actions, including reproduction of declarations and canned music. At the same time additional technology equipment for physically disabled people, including, hearing-impaired is provided. For parallel broadcast of repetitions, judicial information and entertaining content it is going to set two video boards of an object of 19х10 sq.m in size. Cable, radio and satellite television will be unrolled in the stands of media on 1,230 people and also in presentation and TV-studios. Communication systems, including Wi-fi network, are expected technical and administrative zones of the sports arena, spectator stands and not less than 100 commentator positions. Works also assumed equipment design of a conference room, the press center and semiportable television transmitting point of stadium.

The project documentation prepared by Asteros for the Kaliningrad stadium successfully passed state examination in FAU "Glavgosekspertiza of Russia" and will become a basis for creation of technology infrastructure of the sporting venue.

Thanks to close interaction with the customer's specialists we managed to design quickly technology infrastructure of stadium, including taking into account new architectural designs of an object".
