Implementation of Infor ERP SyteLine at the Sverdlovsk plant of current transformers (Yekaterinburg)

About the enterprise

The Sverdlovsk plant of current transformers (SZTT) – one of leading enterprises in the modern market of electrotechnical products. About 600 people work at the enterprise.

Project Objectives

Creation of an effective system of operational management of sale, production and purchases: improvement of schedule system, increase in the service level of clients due to reduction of runtime of the order and accomplishment of orders in time, creation of a system of operational production management and cost control.

Also for increase in efficiency it was necessary to solve problems with completing of orders, to adjust long-term and mid-term planning, quickly and to precisely determine the term of accomplishment of orders, to timely analyze deliveries on regions, types, profitability, to liquidate deposits in warehouses, to provide transparency of a status of material values in warehouses.

Solution

The project started at the beginning of 2003 and successfully came to the end in 10 months. At implementation of the information system SyteLine ERP at first the following functions were automated:

  • Stocks,
  • Production management (PGP),
  • Planning,
  • Sales,
  • Purchases,
  • Accounting of cost of production,
  • Accounting of settlings with suppliers and clients.

Also integration of the SyteLine ERP system with the system of accounting of the Russian development was performed.

Results of Implementation

The system of effective management and control of productive activity of the enterprise is created: the system of the sliding volume and calendar production planning week – month is developed and implemented (on MRP II), safety stocks are reduced, the nomenclature of the purchased materials at the expense of the analysis of their use and unification is reduced, the schedule system at all production rates is created. The system of operating control – creditor and receivables, the inventory cost of materials, a WIP and finished goods is introduced and also operational providing management information to the management based on SyteLine BI is adjusted.

Economic indicators of project deliverables

  • Safety stocks of raw materials and component parts are reduced by 30%;
  • At the same capacities products production volume is twice increased;
  • Accuracy of accomplishment of the production schedule for a week is 98 99%;
  • Production time of products was reduced to three weeks;

In 2007 SZZT upgraded to the new version the Infor ERP SyteLine 7.04 systems which support more progressive mechanisms of production planning – APS (Synchronous Planning and Optimization).
