The monitoring system of IT processes of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager is implemented in Hevel

The Softline company announced in March, 2016 end of a pilot project on the implementing solution Microsoft System Center Operations Manager in Hevel company that allowed the customer to unroll a single centralized system of monitoring of key IT processes.

Hevel (the joint venture Renova Group and Rusnano, is founded in 2009) works in the industry of solar power. Enter into structure of the company: production division (the plant on production of thin-film photo-electric modules to Novocheboksarsk, the Chuvash Republic), developer division (design and construction of solar power plants, a project portfolio for the next years — more than 250 MW) and scientific and technological center at FTI of A.F. Ioffe (St. Petersburg) who is the scientific organization which is engaged in research and development in the field of solar power.

For creation of a single system of monitoring of IT infrastructure the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2 (SCOM) software product was selected. Its functionality allows to trace parameters in observed information systems, and at their critical change to start process of mailing of notifications to specialists according to their competences or accomplishment of the set scripts of correction of work of IT services. Besides, the server framework of the company is unrolled based on products of Microsoft therefore it was reasonable to implement a monitoring system of this vendor, explained in Softline.

Works during the project were carried out by engineers of Softline far off from Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod. At the beginning specialists conducted examination flowing IT infrastructures the customer which included data analysis of systems, created and approved model of complex monitoring, the project documentation. After that pilot system implementation based on architecture of the uniform server — management of SCOM and databases was made. During solution deployment objects of monitoring were connected, setup of the notification on events is made. Monitoring of physical and virtual servers under OS Windows Server management 2008-2012 and network devices under the simple protocol of network management (SNMP) was as a result smoothly running. If necessary the solution SCOM is scaled by quantity of the serviced objects and performance in group by accumulation of number of servers of management.
