Experience of use of SAP Extended ECM by OpenText in the Cherkizovo group

In March, 2016 the SAP CIS company and the Cherkizovo Group, the producer of meat products and compound feeds, announced the first results of system implementation of corporate content management based on SAP Extended ECM by OpenText. The solution allowed Cherkizovo to reduce staff costs by 15%, working with documents, to increase twice quality and by 20% — the processing speed of documents. As a result of implementation the tax risks connected with loss or unfair storage of originals were reduced by 60%.

The choice of a corporate content management system was influenced by several factors at once. First, the leading positions of the developer of the platform, SAP company, in the world market of the corporate software. Secondly, existence of the scalable solution considering a geographically-distributed structure of the company and supporting business process automation on corporate content management. And at last, the minimum costs for integration of the new platform into the existing accounting system. As the solution on workflow automation the SAP product Extended ECM by OpenText was selected. The partner of SAP — Sabris company was engaged in the project, and completed it in the shortest possible time: in two months a system was transferred to productive operation. Now 825 users work with it.

Such functional elements as Enterprise Scan allowing to carry out mass scanning and input of primary finance documents are a part of the SAP solution Extended ECM by OpenText; Content Server for storage and approval of documents and also ECMLink for "seamless" integration into the accounting systems of SAP. As a result in the Cherkizovo Group the uniform electronic archive of documents is created, data processing on several functional areas (accounting, fixed asset accounting, etc.), including using technology of barcoding is automated. Besides, the problem of duplication of information is solved, processes of scanning, document registration in the accounting system which was approved with corporate e-mail are configured. Monthly in a system 450 thousand documents are processed.
