2019: BIS 4.6

On February 6, 2019 the ARMO-Systems company reported that company "Bosch of the Security system" updated the integrated BIS platform (Building Integration System) for the organization of the centralized control and management of the engineering systems of the building and security systems. Thanks to modular structure the integrated security system based on software of BIS allows to integrate separate subsystems, including video surveillance, the security and fire warning and/or access control and also to add others in different combinations. Unlike the previous versions, the packet of BIS 4.6 provides additional functions of access control for office buildings and expands possibilities of systems for their integration with third-party subsystems.

According to the developer, feature of BIS 4.6 is the full support of the protocol of the unified architecture (UA) drafted by OPC Foundation thanks to what fast integration of a security system of Bosch into the equipment and security systems of different producers is provided. Due to permanent increase in number of the devices supporting OPC UA, the integrated security system will allow to implement the modern equipment in already existing infrastructure, remaining relevant in the conditions of fast development of technologies. At the same time, in BIS 4.6 support of Classic OPC for compatibility with devices of the previous generations was retained.

According to the statement of the developer, the basic BIS 4.6 software package is a core of centralized operation and control of the subsystems of video surveillance, access control, the notification connected to it, etc., internal virtual devices (the operator, the server, etc.) and peripheral equipment (for example, detectors, cameras, readers). Via the interface of the BIS program information on the address, a status, type and location of each device on the graphic plan arrives. Besides, the integrated security system accepts data on alarms and events from subsystems and processes at the same time up to 5,000 messages.

In addition to wire solutions of status monitoring of access points (doors, tourniquets, etc.) the subsystem of access control of Access Engine 4.6 from Bosch supports seamless integration with wireless digital SimonVoss SmartIntego locks and fingerprint readers. For example, for objects with higher requirements for protection of premises the integrated security system of BIS 4.6 allows to use the highly reliable biometric readers BioEntry W2 with double authentication (on a fingerprint and the access card), the developer noted.

According to the developer, allowed to increase flexibility and convenience of management of access rights in daily work of office and administrative buildings the function "constantly openly" which appeared in a subsystem of BIS Access Engine of version 4.6. Thanks to it, the integrated security system allows the administrator of BIS to appoint quickly doors which will not be blocked for actions or in business hours when access without identification is necessary for many visitors of office. This change does more flexible access control to premises of buildings with the average level of security.

According to information for February, 2019 the updated integrated security system of Bosch of BIS 4.6. it is already available to the Russian customers.

2016: Building Integration System (BIS) 4.1.2

In April, 2016 there was a new release of the software of BIS 4.1.2. (Building Integration System) of Bosch Security Systems company which provides integration and centralized control/management of the engineering systems of the building and security systems, including video surveillance, the security and fire warning and/or access control by installation of separate modules. Unlike the previous versions of software, the integrated security system on the BIS 4.1.2 platform. provides new features for BIS Proxy OPC-DA Server, including compatibility with the systems of the top level (SCADA, PSIM, BMS, etc.), support of Unicode (Russian) and sending messages about state change of the equipment and commands from the third-party systems and also expands functionality of work with the ACS.

The universal integrated security system with support of OPC, CAD and web technologies

Installation of the integrated system of Bosch of BIS 4.1.2. it is performed using standard functionality of a multiserver configuration and Unicode encoding for correct display of Russian-language texts and fields of the program. Thanks to support of OPC technologies, the integrated security system can interact with standard buses, including EIB, LON, Profibus and BACnet, and is compatible to the different third-party systems. Besides, BIS allows to import data of a CAD including graphic plans of an object, with adding of location of the used equipment, and to create a hierarchical structure of a security system with functions of scaling and panning of building plans for simplification of navigation on them.

The basic BIS software package provides centralized operation and monitoring of all connected security systems, including video surveillance systems, access control and/or the security fire warning and also the engineering systems of the building. Via the BIS software interfaces the integrated security system provides the complete information about internal virtual devices (operators, servers, etc.) and peripheral equipment (for example, cameras, controllers, etc.) with display of their type, address, location on the graphic plan and statuses. At the same time, the basic module of the integrated BIS system allows to accept data on alarms and events from subsystems and to process at the same time up to 5,000 information units.

Integration of the equipment of a video surveillance system into software of BIS is executed using the module Video Engine which is compatible to IP cameras, coders and video recorders of both the brand of Bosch, and other producers. At the same time it is possible to exercise setup and control of a video equipment through active graphic plans of objects. With the module Video Engine the integrated security system allows to create direct references in the magazine of registration of events between signals of invasion and videos corresponding to them for quick search of video fragments in archive. Licensing of IP cameras of video surveillance and other equipment in a security system of BIS is performed channel-by-channel, and for control of PTZ cameras using the USB keyboard the separate license is issued.

Functions of control and access control within the updated BIS system are implemented through a software module of Access Engine which can service up to 9,600 readers (with 10 master controllers of access) and up to 400,000 active cards (tags). Thanks to enhanced capabilities of a set of development tools of BIS ACE API (SDK) version 4.1.2., the integrated security system is capable not only to interact with the third-party systems, such as time recording, but also to provide data exchange and information transfer about ACS events in these systems. For expansion of a security system it is possible to increase paketno number of points of pass and the supported access cards for permanent employees and guests with a step 32, 100/1000 and 50/100, respectively.

Centralized operation by fire and security panels, heating systems, ventilation and air conditioning of the building and also is performed by the systems of the speech and abnormal notification via the module Automation Engine of the integrated BIS system. Tuning of the equipment of these systems can be performed manually or automatically using different templates of configurations. At the same time the integrated security system has the built-in templates for setup of security panels of the brand of Bosch and allows to load already ready configurations for other equipment. It should be noted that for connection of the engineering systems and security to automation systems of the top level (SCADA, PSIM, BMS, etc.) in BIS 4.1.2. powers for the BIS Proxy OPC-DA server are expanded.
