The name of the base system (platform): | Suprema BioStar 2 |
Developers: | Suprema |
Date of the premiere of the system: | 2016 |
Technology: | Cybersecurity - Biometric identification |
The TerraLink company provided in the summer of 2016 model of the dactyloscopic network reader of the Suprema brand for installation out of the premises. The advantage of Suprema BioEntry W2 is identification speed. The reader is capable to distinguish 1:150,000 templates per second at storage capacity prior to 1,000,000 events thanks to powerful 4-core 1.2 GHz to the processor, 2 GB Flash of memory and to the improved algorithm of recognition of prints.
The IP reader is placed in the vandal proof body of a class of protection IP67, reliably protecting electronics in the temperature range of -20 °C up to 50 °C, allowing a device ekpluatation out of the premises.
Support of different combinations: Finger and Card
The device for access control supports three options of identification:
- fingerprint
- card
- card + fingerprint
At the same time irrespective of the set access mode for each user it is possible to set an individual algorithm of pass on one possible means of identification: fingerprint or card.
The lineup of the biometric IP reader is provided by the following models which differ with type of the built-in reader:
- The simplest BEW2-OHP model is equipped with reader 125kHz HID Prox.
- BEW2-ODP is equipped with the double-frequency reader 125 kHz EM-Marin and 13.56 MHz of Mifare/DESFire/DESFire EV1/Felica/NFC
The leader of a lineup of BEW2-OAP is equipped two-frequency 125 kHz of EM-Marin and 13.56 MHz of Mifare/DesFire/Felica/NFC and supports HID MultiCLASS SE technologies: 1:56 p.m. MHz of iCLASS/iCLASS SE, 125 kHz of HID Prox. For large objects: up to 500,000 users, up to 1,000,000 events
The amount of memory of BioEntry W2 allows to store information about 500,000 users and 1,000,000 events, the powerful processor, network capabilities with catering services on POE, the improved algorithm of recognition of counterfeit of prints of Live Finger Detection 2.0 - characteristics which allow to recommend the new biometric reader for operation as a part of large control systems of access.
The new reader supports different interfaces of connection to the ACS, allowing to operate the device as it is autonomous, and in systems with different architecture.
The recommended software for the organization of network systems of access control: Suprema BioStar 2.
