Petrochemical territorial cluster of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Fujitsu Primergy and Eternus)

Project Tasks

IT infrastructure of a territorial petrochemical cluster of the Republic of Bashkortostan should ensure simultaneous operation over projects of a great number of engineers of the enterprises entering a cluster. If at the beginning of formation of production 3-4 participants, then now their more than 100 worked on similar projects. With respect thereto the storage systems supporting work on projects should provide rather high performance and an instant response at the appeal to large volumes of the stored information. In design process the computing node needs to process a set of simultaneous requests to separate databases (a DB of MSSQL, Dabacon) and to make simultaneous service of a large number of the connected participants, i.e. to provide simultaneous connection of users on reading/record.

Because the gain of production data of a petrochemical cluster occurs high rates, participants of a cluster made the decision on high-performance storage systems of Fujitsu ETERNUS DX400 giving to the enterprises the chance of parallel remote work over the general project without delays with high degree of reliability.

Project Progress

The enterprises of a cluster execute design of rather large number of large objects of a petrochemical complex, in a system at the same time there are about eight processed projects.

At the moment optical multiplexers of Brocade, dual-processor servers of providing infrastructure PRIMERGY RX2540 and four-processor PRIMERGY RX4770 database servers enter a complex. The main objective of a storage system of Fujitsu ETERNUS DX400 – storage of diverse project information and instant response to a large number of simultaneous user queries. Dabacon DBMS plays a role of the basis for data. She with a high speed processes a large number of the simultaneous diverse requests rendering essential load of storage systems. DWH of ETERNUS DX400 maintains loading without any complaints.

On the Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers infrastructure of Microsoft, mail and telephone services, services the domain controllers, standard and infrastructure databases and also the workflow system (Microsoft SharePoint) is unrolled.

The Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX2540 M1 servers and the Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX4770 M2 servers and also several add-on modules of DWH of Fujitsu ETERNUS DX400 S2 and tape library Fujitsu ETERNUS LT60 are in process of start. This equipment will be deployed in IT infrastructure of a petrochemical cluster in December, 2015 – January, 2016.

Customer Feedback on the Project

Within upgrade of the existing modeling 3D system for needs of the Petrochemical territorial cluster of the Republic of Bashkortostan there was a need for increase in volume of data storage, performance improvement of a server framework, and also ensuring high transmission rate and processing of large volumes of engineering data, Vitaly Zavgorodny, the head of department of maintenance of a petrochemical territorial cluster of the Republic of Bashkortostan comments.
