Project Tasks
Owing to implementation in the company of the new system of sales (in bars and cash desks) covering all movie theaters and also CRM systems, creations of the new website of the company and mobile application there was a need to book audit of the available server hardware.
At each movie theater the complex from five-six servers which are completely ensuring functioning of all internal IT processes of movie theaters of network is set. All servers which were purchased at the time of opening of movie theaters belong to different generations and are provided in different complete sets. During audit it became clear that a part of servers and workstations do not meet technical requirements which are imposed by the new system of sales.
At 15 movie theaters of network the decision - to replace that part of the server hardware which is responsible for support of a system of sales, with the new single-processor Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX1330 M1 servers and also in addition to install 140 Fujitsu ESPRIMO P420 PCs as ticket offices is made. Besides, two PRIMERGY RX2560 M1 servers will be installed in the main DPC of the company for ensuring functioning of a centralized system of sales.
Project Progress
The standard of installation of set of five servers at each separate movie theater was initially admitted to the companies, but during the project it is decided to install the additional server at the new opening movie theaters which will ensure functioning of all interactive systems of sales, i.e. sales in booking terminals, on the website of the company and via the official application for mobile platforms. It will allow to overcome a problem of dependence on communication quality of branches with the central data center of the company when ensuring continuous system operation of sales via terminals.
At the same time, on a part of servers of the previous generation using Fujitsu memory upgrade was made that allowed not to replace the equipment and to save the project budget.
In procurement process – two new the Hyper-V servers (PRIMERGY RX2560 M1), one of which will ensure functioning of the website CINEMA PARK, being on the external platform, and the second will take away on itself(himself) a part of loading from the present Hyper-V servers and also will ensure functioning of a new CRM system. These servers initially include the license Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Data Center therefore becomes possible to unroll on them Microsoft Hyper-V v.3 without restrictions on the number of virtual machines.
The project with PARK company CINEMA is in process of the embodiment with the assistance of the old partner – shipping documentation service company. Now there take place test starts of parts of a new system of sales. Project finish is planned for April, 2016 – to this term complete transition to the new system of sales, including implementation of CRM will be performed.
Until the end of 2015 it is going to transfer completely 5 first movie theaters of network to the new platform for debugging of a system in the test mode and personnel trainings. Since January, 2016 there will be a step-by-step weekly transfer of one of movie theaters of network to work on the new platform.
