D-Link DXS-1100-10TS

DXS-1100-10TS is the 10-gigabit configured switch.

On April 15, 2016 the D-Link company announced release of the 10-Gbit configured DXS-1100-10TS and DXS-1100-16TC switches^[1].

Devices have high performance, support demanded functions of the 2nd level and management by means of the web interface. Are intended for the organization and upgrade of networks of the enterprises of small and medium business.

DXS-1100-10TS (2016)

Switches are executed in the metal body for installation in a 19-inch rack. DXS-1100-10TS is equipped with eight ports 10GBase-T and two – the 10GBase-X SFP+, 12 ports 10GBase-T, two ports 10GBase-X SFP+ and two combos ports of the 10GBase-T/10GBase-X SFP+ are provided in DXS-1100-16TC. For connection of servers to switches it is possible to use network adapters: DXE-810S with SFP+, DXE-810T 10GBase-X port with port 10GBase-T and DXE-820T with two ports 10GBase-T.

DXS-1100 supports:

• 802.1p QoS, 802.1Q VLAN (up to 128 groups),
• management of bandwidth with a step of 64 Kbps
• IGMP/MLD Snooping for processing of multi-address traffic.

For increase in fault tolerance and load distribution in network it is possible to use aggregation of communication channels on the basis of the IEEE 802.3ad standard, protection against formation of loops of Loopback Detection and reservation of connections by means of the STP protocols (802.1D, 802.1w).

Switches conform to the standard of energy efficiency of Ethernet IEEE 802.3az and maintain advanced functionality of optimization of energy consumption due to determination of a current status of connection and cable length, power off of ports and LED indicators in the absence of network activity and also transfer of a system to the mode of preserving of the electric power according to the schedule. The technology of intellectual management of operation of Smart Fan fans implemented in devices provides automatic adjustment of rotational speeds and the notification in case of their emergency work.

For the initial DXS-1100-10TS and DXS-1100-16TC setup the free multifunction D-Link Network Assistant utility is used, she helps to detect switches D-Link in one network segment and to be connected to them without change of the IP address of the computer. The main setup and control of switches of DXS-1100 series are implemented using the web interface and the SNMP v1/v2c/v3 protocol. The SSH and SSL protocols IPv4IPv6 (/), the protocol of the notification on settings of the LLDP device and remote monitoring of RMON v1/v2 are supported.
