2022: Revenue growth 2 times to 1.1 trillion rubles
By the end of 2022, Yamal LNG received revenue of 1.1 trillion rubles, which is 96% more than a year earlier. The company's net profit in comparison with these periods also doubled - from 400.3 billion to 840.2 billion rubles. Such data are given in the reports published in May 2023.
According to Interfax, citing materials from Yamal LNG, its profit before tax in 2022 amounted to 1 trillion rubles, rising by 117% on an annualized basis. According to tax accounting, profit in 2022 amounted to almost 950 billion rubles, the amount of income tax - about 80 billion rubles. In 2021, profit amounted to 496 billion rubles, and the amount of income tax - 42 billion rubles. In 2022, the tax base was reduced by 50%, or 475 billion rubles, due to the use of losses received in previous tax periods, explains Yamal LNG.
It also follows from the reporting that in 2022 Yamal LNG repaid all loans to shareholders issued in dollars (a year earlier the figure was 92.5 billion rubles). Debt to shareholders on loans in euros at the end of 2022 decreased to 167 billion rubles against 412 billion rubles a year earlier.
Debt on bank loans in euros for the period up to 2031 as part of project financing at the end of 2022 amounted to 883 billion rubles. The debt to the Ministry of Finance (Yamal LNG attracted funds from the National Welfare Fund, NWF) at the end of 2022 amounted to 167.2 billion rubles. The total amount of loans in 2022 decreased from 1.7 trillion to 1.2 trillion rubles.
By the end of 2022, Yamal LNG assumed obligations in accordance with the signed agreements to make capital expenditures for the development and development of the South Tambeyskoye field in the amount of 44.1 billion rubles.[1]
