The Consist Business Group company announced in April, 2016 start in operation of a system on management of the transfer of loads based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 created for "Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port" (NCSP).

Ten companies of different specialization which conduct the activity in ports of Azovo-Chernomorsky and Baltic basins are a part of the NMTP group. Group goods turnover for 2015 made 139.7 million tons. "Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port" services about 45% of total amount of loads of group. Requirement qualitatively and quickly to process the requests arriving from clients in the conditions of a big flow of loads, need it is rational to distribute resources and to have up-to-date data about a current status of warehouse economy for acceptance of management decisions became the key factors which influenced the decision of the management of NMTP on implementation of a modern management system for transfer of loads.

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 platform designed to replace existing before systems which are not connected among themselves in a common information space became a basis for the selected solution. As the partner in implementation the Tops Consulting company entering into Consist Business Group was selected.

Karitsky Andrey, the director of directorate of information systems NMTP, commented on a situation prior to the beginning of the project: "At some point we understood that the numerous systems which we used for accounting of all cycle of stevedoring works began to complicate development of the company and did not allow to realize the logistic potential of our business completely. Therefore we needed the new tool for cost reduction, increase in level of service and speed of transfer of loads".

A system allows to manage all main business processes — from creation of the request and execution of all necessary documents before floor planning of a load on platforms of port and management of handling works. The data coming to a system are processed in real time that allows to have up-to-date information on any load which came to the port.

Operational accounting of productive activity became a core of the project. All load coming to the port is placed according to the plan created on the basis of characteristics of a load and its specification. On the basis of this plan the load is placed in a warehouse, necessary documents form and tally tasks are appointed. In a system the actual location of a load which after unloading in the Map of Port system integrated with solution Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is displayed on a pictorial art work is fixed. Except arrangement of loads, "The map of port" allows to see location of the courts which are on moorings, told in Consist Business Group.

On the basis of requests of clients about expected cargo flows managers of NMTP create the summary schedule and the operational schedule of work of port for a month. The summary schedule allows to estimate capacity of port and if necessary to correct requests of clients, to estimate the need for key resources and to distribute them. The operational schedule of work of port is constructed on the "sliding" model of planning and has higher accuracy. It considers the actual accomplishment of the summary monthly schedule and new orders of clients. On the basis of the operational scheduled plan the planned daily plan for work in which for each task the used equipment and contractors are appointed forms, explained in the company. All information on the park of the equipment and crews is available directly in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 due to integration with systems Trim and "BOSS-personnel officer".

One of key functions of a system is an opportunity to make time management of mooring of courts at port moorings and also their movements depending on a work type. Input of analytical parameters on the type of vessel, the carried-out works, dates and end time of mooring is provided. On the basis of the recorded indicators in a system operational reports by calculation of parking and lay days are calculated and form.

"A system allows to create all necessary document flow on economic transactions of port: receiving acts, tally receipts, bills of lading, general acts and other documents. Within the solution integration of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 with other systems used at us is configured. For example, solution integration with the ETRAN and Cargo Express of Russian Railways systems allows to work with rail waybills and requests in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 without the appeal to these systems: keep track of location of cars and structures, to plan unloading and loading of cars — Alexey Zinchenko, the project manager from NMTP told. — Other example of integration is unloading directly from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 on the website of NMTP of the dispatching report and plan of mooring transactions. Thus, the flexibility of the solution allows to configure unloading of data for other systems consumers and to use information from a system sources".

In general the implementing solution Tops Consulting, entering into Consist Business Group, allows managers of NMTP to use more rationally available resources at the expense of the analysis of objective data and to provide to clients world-class provision of services. By the customer's estimates, introduction of a single system of accounting of business processes of stevedoring activity allows to reduce time for processing of loads for 10%, and performance when processing loads grows by 5% that, finally, will affect increase in volume of cargo transportation and will allow to optimize many processes in the company. Besides, by means of introduction of centralized set of document forms the comparability of information is provided that for 25% reduces labor costs by double entry of data.
