Angstrem: Power module 3300B

Specialists of JSC Angstrem created and reported at the beginning of 2016 to tests the power microchips for work with tension 3300B used in the industry, transport, municipal services. As a result there has to be the whole series of power modules for the high-voltage converting equipment that will allow the Russian producers to pass to domestic component parts.

Power module 3300vsilovye modules on the basis of bipolar transistors with an isolated gate (IGBT and SFRD) are used in the systems of conversion of powerful electric signals. The main consumers are producers of the rolling stock of the railroads and the subway and also the enterprises operating and servicing this equipment.

The Russian market of IGBT modules is estimated not less than at 5 billion rubles. However its until recently main part was occupied by products on the basis of the foreign electronic component base (ECB).

To liquidate this dependence on deliveries from abroad JSC Angstrem began the project on creation of a series of completely domestic power IGBT modules.

At the first stage the line of modules with the voltage range from 600B to 1700B and maximum currents from 75A to 600A was created. At the second stage component parts are developed for more powerful systems. At present certification of modules on tension 3300B is carried out. Besides, specialists of JSC Angstrem finish development of crystals of IGBT and SFRD with tension 4500B and 6500B which will be transferred for carrying out tests as a part of power modules in the nearest future.

According to the CEO of JSC Angstrem Konstantin Nosov, the plant is ready to close completely the needs of the domestic industry for IGBT modules of big power: "Performance of the enterprise is 8 thousand plates a month. This volume is enough to provide not only all Russian companies, but also to arrange deliveries of power modules to foreign consumers".

It is planned that in the summer completely domestic IGBT and SFRD modules will equip a pilot electric locomotive of Russian Railways. Developments should take place on it a full stroke of tests then the decision on serial product output and deliveries to strategic consumers and also on free market will be made.
