The Arzamas plant of utility mechanical engineering Kommash and Frontstep company started the final stage of the project on implementation of the automated control system for the enterprise based on the multifunction information system Infor ERP SyteLine v7.
The other day the general run of a "head" part of a system which is engaged in planning and accounting of course of production was performed. This functionality will add the block of an automated system brought three months ago into commercial operation which is responsible for management of supply, warehouses and sales.
By calculations of specialists of Frontstep company, transition of the Kommash plant to the job order type of production implemented in new CIS will allow to save expenses on raw materials, to reduce work in progress by 30-40%, to increase the level of accomplishment of the monthly plan from 70 to 90% due to effective use of the equipment, elimination of works involving all hands and idle times. Besides, the automated control system for production gives an opportunity of operational planning, accurate cost control and discipline, helps to reveal and embroider "bottlenecks". As a result of increase in level of satisfaction of customers the enterprise expects considerable expansion of sales market.
The SyteLine APS system (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) based on which the project is executed this modern solution for planning and drawing up production schedules allows to execute customer orders just in time, providing at the same time synchronization of management of material flows, production capacities and overhead reduction.
Before full-function start of the automated control system on Kommash there are several weeks. Several tens of jobs are automated, however changes in work will concern practically all staff of the enterprise.
