Ericsson Nikola Tesla will create the unified information system of health care in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Croatian company Ericsson Nikola Tesla, affiliated with Ericsson, signed in the spring of 2016 the delivery contract of the platform of informatization and interoperability of health care. Contract amount is 150 million Croatian kuna (more than 20 million euros). Ericsson will deliver the advanced software solutions and services directed to creation of the unified information system of health care of Kazakhstan across the nation. A project deadline which will include the analysis, design, adaptation to requirements of the local legislation and installation of the platform, - one year. On project completion Ericsson will render technical support services within the next three years.
The platform will conform to international standards, opportunities for integration with the existing and future systems are provided in it. Under the terms of the signed agreement the National system of electronic medical records and the system of a business intelligence (BI) will be designed.
Creation of a single system of health care is performed within the State program of reforming and development of the health care system which is carried out by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This initiative is directed to increase in efficiency and quality of medical services. Use of the unified information system of health care will allow to create a number of new services and to provide to citizens the up-to-date information concerning medical regional narrowing on the specialized portal and also to provide high quality of system operation of health care and to help doctors with adoption of medical solutions.

Use of electronic medical records will promote improvement of primary medical care due to the continuity of processes and quality improvement of the medical information used for adoption of medical solutions and carrying out policy in the field of health care. Based on electronic medical records the specialized portal - the information tool which will allow to increase the involvement of patients into treatment process will be created and also to sposobstovat program implementations on fight against diseases and formation of a healthy lifestyle", - the vice-Minister of health and social development Alexey Tsoi comments.
