Content

Solid-state drive (SSD) is an efficient solution to improve the performance of any system. They provide a significant increase in the speed and reliability of your computer compared to conventional hard drives (HDDs). SSDs can also be used to extend the life of older systems and allow organizations to postpone PC replacements and possibly save significant costs.

SSD drives use NAND Flash or DRAM memory chips that replace magnetic plates and other mechanical components used in standard hard drives. Solid-state drives do not have moving parts, which completely eliminates the rotational delays characteristic of HDD. Also, SSDs are less sensitive to external influences than HDDs.

SSD Kingston for Enterprise Sector

The Kingston SSD line for the enterprise sector has a wide range of models and capacities. The company's latest innovation is the KC400 SSD, designed for enterprise systems and capable of working 15 times faster than traditional hard drives.

SSD Kingston KC400

The SSD KC400 provides high performance for compressible and incompressible data, as well as fast response in applications requiring high performance storage subsystems. The drive uses an 8-channel Phison PS3110-S10 controller and a quad-core processor to speed up everyday tasks and increase productivity.

The KC400 provides end-to-end data protection and supports SmartECC technology for data retention as well as read error protection SmartRefresh. If errors occur, the data is recreated; drives recover from an emergency power outage with built-in power outage protection. ON Today's NAND controllers and memory provide high storage reliability.

The KC400 has a limited five-year warranty and free Kingston support, which includes technical support groups to help you select the right SSD, international aftermarket support, and Kingston's "Get with Specialist" program. To control and manage the drive, there is a free Kingston SSD Manager application that can be downloaded on the company's website.

The drives are made in 2.5 ″ form factor, have SATA 3.0 interface (6 Gb/s) and have various capacity options - 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The sequential read/write speed is up to 550/540 MB/s.

SSD Kingston for Developers

Kingston offers a full range of SSD drives in various form factors and capacity options to meet the needs of PC creators and embedded Small Form Factor (SFF) devices.

SFF PCs are becoming more popular and are used in various areas, such as home theaters, digital signage, desktops, as well as wherever space is limited. SSDs are used in SFF PCs and embedded devices to improve system performance and reliability compared to systems on conventional mechanical hard drives.

For example, [1] Kingston's SSD M.2 SATA G2 is a thin, compact, shell-less internal SSD that combines large, low-power capacity to provide a reliable caching device or primary storage for operating systems and applications. It is compatible with desktop boards with the Intel 9x chipset and popular PCs with a compact form factor, including laptops, ultrabooks, and tablets. The SSD M.2 2280 SATA G2 is easily installed in systems with M.2 connectors and is suitable for both computer system assemblers and self-assembling users.

SSD Kingston M.2 SATA G2

The M.2 SATA G2 has less weight than the chassis SSDs and optimizes system performance through improved memory cleansing, wear balancing, and TRIM technology support to maintain consistent performance throughout the lifespan of the drive. The new SATA specification supplement is DevSleep an efficient power management option that minimizes power consumption and increases battery life. Built-in power failure protection ON maintains data integrity and ensures that data is written permanently from the cache to the NAND to enable recovery of the drive in the event of a disaster.

Kingston M.2 SATA G2 drives can have different capacity options - 120 GB, 240GB and 480GB. At the same time, the size of the SSD is 80mm x 22mm x 3.5mm, and the weight is from 5.99 (120 and 240 GB) to 7.98 gr. (480 GB).

The SSD M.2 SATA G2 has a five-year warranty, free technical support and high reliability. In addition, for users of Kingston drives on the manufacturer's website, Kingston SSD Manager (KSM) free software is available, which monitors the status of the warranty and the health of the SSD.

Why Kingston?

Kingston is the world's largest independent storage manufacturer. Since its founding in 1987 by John Tu and David Sun, the company has gone a long way from selling one-way memory modules to bringing to market more than 2,000 products supporting over 20,000 computer systems. The company's sales in 2010 exceeded $6.5 billion.

Reliability is the cornerstone of Kingston's product policy and serves as the basis for a high level of trust between the company and its customers. Kingston is committed to improving industry standards for the quality and reliability of all products and their individual components. An important step in ensuring product reliability is the careful selection of components and ensuring that only components of the highest quality are used. Kingston is one of the few companies to verify components and test modules at all stages of production.
