OGK-4 was forced to use the ERP system of 1C as the company was created in a short time and quickly implemented management tool was required for it. With growth of the company the decision to pass to AX was made. The next stage of the project is completed.
Energy company OGK-4 completed the next project stage on implementation of the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta). The project consisted in parallel solving of tasks on transition of the information management system of OGK-4 to the version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and development of functionality of a system, including adaptation of opportunities of the new version of a system to requirements of OGK-4.
The Axapta-project lasts in OGK-4 the fourth year. In 2007 OGK-4 refused earlier used corporate system on the 1C Platform: as earlier representatives of OGK-4 said, the company just "grew" from the domestic solution.
Nevertheless, in due time 1C played the companies kind service. Let's remind that OGK-4 was created in March, 2005 within smashing of RAO UES holding. Afterwards it included five structures - Berezovskaya GRES - 1, Surgut-2 Power Station, Yayvinsky state district power plant, Shaturskaya GRES and the Smolensk state district power plant.
Naturally, management of separate assets required a management system, and implementation was required in enough short time. The situation was aggravated with the fact that at the time of consolidation of OGK-4 in OGK-4 nothing was, and it was necessary to prescribe the company structure of executive office and all financial policy from scratch
The system of financial management as such was not also in branches. At all five stations OGK-4 the different accounting systems – both self-written, and drawing were used (in particular worked at Berezovskaya GRES in the Microsoft Dynamics AX automated control system). Acquaintance of one of branches to Axapta also became afterwards one of criteria for its choice in quality.
In 2005 to year other four power plants passed to 1C of version 8.0 in only four months. However, already later a small interval of time a system ceased to satisfy requirements of the company. Also shortcomings were detected. Among them there are differences in analytics of the accounting system and a budgeting system. At the huge information volume a system lacked high-speed performance, besides, it was non-transactional, and financial business processes were implemented without integration with other components.
As a result of OGK-4 approached implementation of a full-fledged ERP system as which it was selected by Microsoft Dynamics AH. As integrator GMCS was selected Implementation of this system began in 2007 – several modules were in parallel entered. Since January 1, 2008 the company finally passed to Microsoft Dynamics AH – the Finance block was brought into operation.
And literally the day before, in October, 2007, OGK-4 became we the German company – more than 75% of stocks OGK-4 belong to E-on concern. With arrival of the new owner requirements to the reporting and, first of all, to finance documents changed. Therefore afterwards in OGK-4 introduced the system of fast closing (FastClosing) and the system of treasurer management in practice, replaced 1C with the system of budget management based on Microsoft Performance Point.
This project became one of the implementations of Microsoft Dynamics AX, largest in Russia, in the power industry. As Konstantin Simakin, the project manager of implementation the ERP system, OGK-4 company [[Simakin Konstantin|]] notes: "This project became the first full-scale implementation of the ERP solution in post-reform power industry.
In May, 2010 the joint team of specialists of OGK-4 and GMCS created the comprehensive program of development of the automated control system for financial and economic activity of OGK-4. In January 2011 OGK-4 passed to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.
Now within a stage on development of functionality of a system development of uniform methodology of computer-aided planning and control of processes of providing OGK-4 company with the material resources (MR) is implemented. Completion of process automation of providing MTR is planned in the third quarter 2011.
