"The joint breweries Heineken" automated monitoring of business applications

On May 26, 2016 the Smart group announced project completion of system implementation of monitoring of business applications of HP of Business Process Monitor (HP BPM) in Joint Breweries Heineken company.

Project Tasks

The project team should create the system of automatic monitoring of performance and availability of critical business processes and the systems of Heineken company, from the point of view of the end users acting in different geographical points – from Khabarovsk to Kaliningrad (end-to-end monitoring).

Entered the list of the controlled systems SAP ERP BI warehouse management system, different portal solutions. The monitoring system was supposed to be used for representation to management of the company of the objective information about availability and performance of the critical systems and processes. Among requirements: flexibility and scalability for setup with the different systems, the consolidated reporting system, a possibility of emulation of actions of end users (for reflection of real experience of users with systems), a possibility of viewing and the analysis of the arising errors in systems in real time.

Specialists of Group Smart offered HP Business Process Monitoring. The modular platform allowing to supplement possibilities of monitoring through adding new a component - HP RUM, NR SiteScope, NR Ops Bridge considerably expanding functionality and creating a comprehensive complex of monitoring of IT services - from the level of network traffic and bug tracking at accomplishment of the code, to automation efficiency evaluation business of processes became additional benefit of the selected option.

Project Results

Implementation of this project allowed to solve problems on granting objective and up-to-date data about performance and availability of the critical systems and related business of processes in the form of an end-to-end system of the reporting. In addition we use the HP BPM system for the pro-active solution of potential incidents, and the analysis of the arising errors that allowed to improve significantly quality of support of IT services and to increase satisfaction of users. Further, data analysis from a monitoring system of HP BPM will allow us to make decisions on optimization of IT services and business of processes. For a project success it was critical important that the company integrator was engaged not only system implementation according to technical specifications, but also in details understood ours business processes and requirements, offered different options on optimization of scenarios for monitoring and reporting system.
