Support of controllability of the company – one of the main objectives which top management in the course of business growth faces, especially, if it is followed by territorial expansion of a branch network. Gaining the leading positions in the markets, new to the company, demands from the company of flexibility, and from management - fast decision making.
Expansion of geographical presence demanded from company management Trust to review the used managerial tools which did not cope with processing of the appeared information volume any more. As a management system for operating activities the 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management software product which allowed to integrate remote branches of the company within the general information space was selected. The complete transparency of activity of a branch network and high adaptivity of the company to regional business climate became one of project deliverables, executed by specialists Microtest.
Project Task
In the conditions of the growing business which was followed by emergence of a large number of territorial representative offices, ensuring controllability of the company and transparency of a young branch network was one of the major purposes facing the management Trust. Besides, it was necessary to establish operational cooperation of remote divisions among themselves and with the head company located in Moscow.
The information system used at that time had no technical means necessary for the organization of work of the branched company. Besides, in it there were no instruments of formation of the management reporting about activity of the company which was kept manually and was presented in the form of the Excel forms.
In this situation management Trust made the decision on transfer of activity of the company to a new technology platform which would allow to implement current demands of the company and to give opportunities for further development. As such platform the solution "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8.0" was selected. The choice of this software product was caused not only need to carry out the accounting of operational business activities, but also desire to implement model of budget management within a common information space. The Microtest company acted as the partner in implementation as it has rich experience of implementation of difficult complex projects based on software products of 1C.
Solution
System implementation of management of operating activities in Trust company lasted 7 months. Within the project the sections of accounting connected with sales management and purchases, warehouse stocks, money and also price analysis, management of pricing and the analysis of aspects of a trading activity were automated.
Specialists Microtest developed tools for the solution of the following tasks:
- accounting of transport deliveries,
- formation of the accounting prices of goods with distribution of additional costs to product cost,
- reservation of stock balance,
- formation of orders for assembly,
- formation of price policy when implementing.
For accounting of specifics of work with network clients, specialized instruments of accounting of receivables were developed and also requirements to execution of trade documents are considered.
During the project data exchange mechanisms between the information system "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8.0" and the existing system of regulated accounting based on 1C: Accounting 7.7 were developed. Besides, instruments of data exchange between the central office, a warehouse and regional representative offices Trust were developed.
The achieved result
In a project deliverable the Trust company performed transition to the new information platform "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8.0" that allowed the company to include in a common information space all remote divisions. The company management obtains the complete timely information about trade business activities of the enterprise, a status and use of stocks, costs now that allows to manage more effectively business and to quickly make the decisions affecting profitability of the company. In particular, the developed set of the key indicators reflecting receivables status allowed management to develop a package of measures, directed to its reduction and increase in liquidity of assets.
The solution developed Microtest provided to specialists Trust the convenient tools supporting flexible mechanisms of pricing that allowed to develop the special systems of discounts and to control marginality, and maintaining information in a single system provided fast process of approval of the prices between departments of the company.
The specialized instruments of distribution of transportation costs to product cost put in a system allowed to increase competitiveness of the goods offered by the company considerably. First of all, it is reached due to the optimal configuration of loads in vehicles which is made taking into account dimensions and weight of the transported products.
