Russian Post under protection of Kaspersky Total Security

2018: The Kaspersky Total Security installation more than on 130 thousand machines

On February 20, 2018 the Russian Post announced completion of installation of the modern software for protection of computers provided by Kaspersky Lab, more than on 130 thousand machines.

On average, protection of Russian Post detects and reflects about 5 thousand attempts of the virus attacks a week. This indicator increases in the period of virus epidemics. Thanks to timely unrolled protection computers of the company did not suffer during the largest epidemics of viruses encoders in 2017 (such as WannaCry and NotPetya). Those days 21-27 thousand malware a day fell upon infrastructure of Russian Post, but a system successfully resisted to the attacks, all attempts of infection were blocked.

Providing information system protection is one of the main priorities of information security of Russian Post. But in addition to technologies, much attention in the company is paid also to minimization of influence of a human factor.

For increase in knowledge of employees of the enterprise in information security field, including in questions of protection against viruses, in 2017 the training course was developed and implemented. As a result of the carried-out work more than 60,000 employees of departments of a mail service and management personnels branches were trained according to the program of increase in awareness. Besides, all employees accepted at a position of operators and chiefs of post offices undergo compulsory education at the specified rate.

2016: The choice of Kaspersky Total Security within the auction

The Russian Post, according to the results of the open auction which took place in the spring of 2016, as an instrument for ensuring of IT security selected the complete solution Kaspersky Total Security for business of domestic developer "Kaspersky Lab". The protective platform will allow to secure jobs, mobile devices, mail servers, servers of joint work and Internet gateways of the federal mail operator against relevant cyberthreats.

Besides, interaction on identification and elimination of effects of computer incidents and the target attacks became an important part of cooperation of Russian Post and Kaspersky Lab. For implementation of this task agreements on future reference of expert services "Kaspersky Lab" and the specialized platform for counteraction to the difficult and well planned cyber attacks were reached.
