On June 22, 2016 the Softline company announced transfer on a cloud platform of Office 365 of corporate mail of Geologix Group Softline company[1].
Project Tasks
Quality improvement of communication of employees and optimization of work of mail services were required for the customer. It was supposed to make it due to providing opportunities of joint work with documents, transfers of files of the big size and expanded volume of storage for mail data. At the same time it was required to lower housekeeping overheads of services, to facilitate administration of a system. Project implementation Softline took and itself.
Project Progress
Having completed inspection of local infrastructure of the customer, specialists of the contractor suggested to pass to Exchange Online use: it will allow the customer to lower operating costs of acquisition of software for local servers and to simplify administration of a system. Among features of the solution there is large volume of an empty seat in storage for each user, a possibility of remote access, simplicity of setup and personalisation. In addition, service has means of archiving of information and storage of remote mail.
At the first stage of the project specialists of integrator developed the plan of migration for Exchange Online, prepared local infrastructure of the customer, performed tuning of joint work of the operating and started mail services.
At the second stage transfer of mail of staff of the company and redirection of mail transport on Exchange Online is executed, training of IT specialists of the customer concerning system maintenance is provided.
Biography
In a project deliverable the customer transferred data of mail infrastructure to a cloud platform, having saved at the same time all necessary information. Access to Exchange Online can be provided from any device that increases convenience of work of staff of the company. In addition, Geolodzhiks had a scaling option of services without attraction of additional investments further. |
Migration allowed to reduce housekeeping overheads of services by a new cloud solution, and thanks to harmonious work of specialists process of migration took place imperceptibly for users. Further we are going to integrate solutions based on Office 365 with services Active Directory for creation of a system of uniform authorization and storage of passwords of users in the territory of the Russian Federation. |
