Biography

1998: Johnson&Johnson

Dmitry was born in St. Petersburg and the most part of time worked in America. He speaks in the English and Russian languages fluently.

Dmitry's career began in 1988, year when it, having graduated at college on a learning of foreign languages in Midlbury, the USA, began to work in the headquarters Johnson&Johnson, promoting entry of corporation into the market of the former USSR.

Dmitry gained considerable work experience in the industry of health care covering both directions - the medical equipment and pharmaceutics, including versatile experience in the field of sales, marketing, business development, strategic management and also researches and development of the latest products in the field of medical technologies in the USA, Europe and Asia.

Within professional development in 1992 Dmitry graduated from the MBA program majoring in Marketing in Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.

2006-2008: Bristol-Myers Squibb

From 2006 to 2008 Dmitry headed the direction of specialized prescription drugs in the Russian division of Bristol-Myers Squibb company. During this period the command under the leadership of Dmitry successfully brought to the market such innovation medicines as Reyataz for treatment of HIV, Abilify for treatment of schizophrenia and Sprycel for treatment of a leukosis.

2010: Med-In-Touch

Dmitry devoted 2010 to the developing area of remote monitoring of patients, having based and having headed Med-In-Touch LLC in the USA – the new company which is engaged in development of solutions for treatment of the patients needing continuous provision of medicines using mobile Internet technologies.

2011: The head of Medtronic in Russia

On May 11, 2011 the Medtronic company announced Dmitry Borisovich Paramonov's appointment to a position of the CEO of Medtronic in Russia. Expansion of presence of Medtronic in this region, strategically important for the company, due to development of the existing business directions of the company and also the development existing and start of new innovation products of Medtronic became the main objective of Dmitry.

The new CEO is focused on strengthening and a progression of the current medical initiatives in the field of education together with Medtronic Academy for the purpose of increase in professional qualification of the Russian doctors and surgeons due to accomplishment of the innovation and at the same time minimum invasive procedures. Along with it Dmitry Paramonov coordinates further participation of the company in the state federal programs for the purpose of further upgrade of the Russian health care.
