On July 5, 2016 the Croc company announced system implementation of management of access rights to corporate IT resources in representative office of DPD.
Project Tasks
In 400 branches of the company about 2 thousand employees work, access to file resources and corporate business applications - to the systems of logistics and accounting, CRM, the solution for support of call center and some other is necessary for each of which.
Before project implementation identification data (accounts, contacts, level of access rights and so forth) about users were got and changed administrators manually in several systems. As a result, information on users and their rights was duplicated and quickly became outdated, and the problem of carrying out its audit became labor-consuming.
Project Progress
At the heart of the implemented Identity and Access Management Solution technology the solution of Dell company - Dell One Active Roles Server works. Integration of c information systems is performed using One Identity Quick Connect for Base Systems, implementation of scenarios of issue of access rights – on the basis of the product Dell One Active Roles Server.
Project Results
The IAM solution helped to automate creation and updating of identification these employees, to integrate applications of the company with a directory service of Microsoft Active Directory for implementation group the politician of setup of user environment.
Due to transfer in a directory service of regular structure, the company created a role model of security depending on a position. With this superstructure, the employee accepted to a certain position automatically acquires the related rights. There is an opportunity to limit time of access to resources, to register scenarios on a case of dismissal, leaving during a maternity leave or acceptance of the employee in any of branches. In the latter case access only to functionality of the local systems of branch is implemented.
For July 5, 2016 terms of providing/updating of access rights to corporate IT resources were reduced to several minutes. Information on users of IT systems is updated, load of administrators decreased by 30%, the quantity of errors which could lead to idle time of business services was significantly reduced.
We reached absolutely new level of information security, having increased control of custom actions. For example, a part of employees should have access to IT systems only before passing of the procedure of certification. Quite often operation on a withdrawal of access could be made with a delay. Now similar procedures are automated. At the moment the solution actively is used and develops by our own forces. In particular, automation of issue of the additional rights on demand is planned. Find balance between the necessary level of confidential information protection and convenience of business – always a difficult task. IAM solutions just allow to reach such compromise. They give the chance to control access for employees to corporate systems, to make investigations of history of approval of the rights and to minimize mismatch between accounts and personnel base. In this project it should be noted active participation of IT specialists of DPD in Russia that allowed to implement the solution of everything in two months. For comparison - the average term of implementation of similar projects in the companies with the state from 500 people in the market makes from six months to one year. |
The products Dell One Identity implemented in DPD actively move ahead in the Russian market, and the number of successful implementations is already calculated by tens. Implementing solution of the class IAM (Identity and Access Management) accelerated creation and simplified updating of accounts, reduced the probability of emergence of errors from manual entry of data.
