On July 25, 2016 the Hitachi Data Systems company announced performance improvement of IT systems of Tele2 company by means of implementation a flash technologies from Hitachi. Integrator in the project Technoserv company.
Project Tasks
Implementing solution from Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) is caused by geography of presence of the operator, scales of start of 3G networks/4G across the territory of Russia and growth of a subscriber base in the capital region.
The upgraded platform helps to guarantee the high level of readiness and service quality of communication of the operator in the conditions of the increased load of network.
Work of the platform is based on use of two hi-tech components: Hitachi Data Instance Director (HDID) and Hitachi Content Platform (HCP). The first solution is intended for protection, storage and data recovery of business. HCP represents a cloud environment of a corporate class, it is focused on processing of large volumes of information. By means of data compression the solution saves space, supports work of mail services and archives.
Passing to the new HDS platform, Tele2 continues to consolidate different data arrays on the platform of a single system of storage. Such strategy allows to achieve the maximum formatted capacity at cost reduction on operation of IT infrastructure
