Problem

"We collected data of distributors in Excel — Polina Zavertkina, the head of the analytical department of World of the Childhood company told. — Files contained information only on the article, a remaining balance for the end of month and sale in a month. Neither outlets, nor the prices, nor data on days were. And the analyst only was also engaged in that that put these data in order — only about 80 files, all in a different type, and some in it that on processing several hours left. After that filled in information in Access and unloaded in the pivot table in Excel. As a result we received the report for last month to 15 — 20 number of the next month. And, in fact, it contained information only on what is on sale. And where is on sale: the area, the city — nothing it was".

One of retail networks with which the World of the Childhood company — Ship worked — was connected to the system of Electronic Data Interchange with retail networks EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Through these partners in World of the Childhood learned about CISLINK and a control system of data of DTS. The first distributor was connected in December, 2013, very quickly: earlier he already worked with CISLINK. In 2014 connected 10 more distributors, the main part — in the second half of year, further eight more — in the 2015th.

If connection of distributors went quickly enough, then loading and comparison of reference books took a lot of time, it was necessary to compare about 37 thousand articles. "This list included archive articles — Polina Zavertkina explains. — Even if we do not make goods any more, and it "got lost" in a warehouse at the distributor — in the reference book it is that there was an accuracy. From 37 thousand active articles about 9 thousand, and over time digit change: something is brought to time, and later renews".

In total sales of distributors make 30 — 40% of total amount, the main volume is provided by retail chain stores, including the large pharmaceutical companies. So quite big turnover, besides, extensive geography of sales, including the most remote regions is the share of distributors.

"From the distributors connected to CISLINK the main sales volume is provided by about a half, i.e. about 20 — we draw especially close attention to their data — the expert comments. — The same at whom our products make the small volume of the range, for example, the pharmaceutical companies, provide data not daily and not always in full, but it is already much better than manual processing of reports".
