Softline completed to summer of 2016 the project on migration of mail Tele2 system, alternative mobile operator, on Microsoft Exchange. As a result it was succeeded to unify information on employees which is contained in the different systems and to create a unified environment for interaction thanks to easy integration into other solutions of Microsoft.

For more perfect operation of Tele2 mail servers replaced the Lotus Domino platform with the solution Microsoft Exchange. At the same time the operator managed to save means on implementation and expansion of a system that was caused by low total cost of ownership and lack of need to purchase additional licenses. The solution was integrated by Softline company which cooperated with Tele2 in other projects earlier.

At first Softline implemented a pilot project for a test user group: engineers of the company showed mechanisms of migration and acquainted employees with advantages of a new mail system. The test group estimated convenience of work of Microsoft Exchange therefore Tele2 decided to implement it in full.

Specialists of Softline transferred to Microsoft Exchange 12 thousand mailboxes and also calendars, contacts, groups of mailings. Except fixed function of message exchange, a new system allows to keep track of availability of employees to communication, to armor meeting rooms, the equipment and other resources. E-mail was integrated with a corporate portal based on Microsoft SharePoint, the solution for communications of Skype for Business, the Active Directory and Office WebApp directory that simplifies administration and use of the usual interface for users.
