Project

In Skolkovo started a wireless network for Internet of Things and development of IoT-applications

Customers: Skolkovo UK

Contractors: Martin Telematics
Product: SCS projects and wireless network infrastructure

Project date: 2016/03  - 2016/09
The MARTIN IoT-station to Skolkovo

In Skolkovo started the wireless network for Internet of Things covering 100% of the city — the area of 2.5 mln m ². It covers infrastructure in the territory of technopark: R&D-центры, residential quarters, buildings of institute of science and technology and other objects.

The first devices which will be connected to network — "smart" counters of water and the electric power in residential quarters, parking sensors in the territory of an innocentre and intelligent systems of management of lighting. In plans and other infrastructure projects for the innovation Moscow region center, they will be implemented in process of completion of city building.

The network for Internet of Things is unrolled by MARTIN Telematics company, the resident of a cluster of space technologies and telecommunications Skolkovo. "MARTIN" — the domestic wireless energy efficient technology "ground" only for data transmission in IoT-networks and intercomputer "communication". As the platform for Internet of Things "MARTIN" allows to build "smart" LPWA networks and to develop compact devices which are capable to transmit a signal to distance over 50 km and at the same time independently to work within 10 years.

The project of intellectual infrastructure to Skolkovo

In parallel with implementation of IoT-services in Skolkovo, developers will get access to network and will be able to create own "smart" devices and applications based on domestic technology for Internet of Things.

Start of network will give a positive impulse to creation of IoT-applications for the different industries: industrial Internet of Things, security systems, medicine, oil and gas industry, municipal government. Thanks to a special set for developers engineers from Skolkovo will be hit in the hands the open environment with an opportunity to experiment and create own solutions for the Internet of things. Programmers will be able to use sets for testing and fine-tuning of the pilot IoT-projects in the conditions of real time.
