Biography

The physicist by training, the graduate of MIPT, Alexander began to compose texts at institute. Its variety miniatures still play student's theaters of Physics and Technology faculty where he was a living classic. Author hilariously ridiculous, sometimes sad, time of philosophical sketches, stories, sketches and songs.

After the termination of Physics and Technology faculty Alexander Kondratyev worked as the research associate at Institute of theoretical and experimental physics of RAS, was engaged in elementary particle physics, was going to defend the master's thesis. In the early nineties, when KVN revived, Sasha became one of enthusiasts and engines of this movement. Played in a command of native Physics and Technology faculty. Its texts began to sound from the TV, but Alexander Kondratyev continued to do scientific career.

He refused it only when in the country there was a specialty absolutely new, unprecedented before — business journalism. In Russia there was a business, but to write about it in newspapers at that moment there was nobody. Alexander Kondratyev became one of those who from scratch created national business journalism. Invented its modern language, methods of work, the rule of giving, stylistics, ethics of a new genre. He wrote, in particular, much about computer business which was then nearly the most important business in Russia.

In recent years in Izvestia Alexander returned to what began with — to science. In the newspaper he conducted the subjects connected with scientific research, new technologies, innovations, space, medicine, military equipment. His surprisingly exact, capacious, aphoristic editorial notes were included into editorial folklore.

On June 27, 2018 Alexander Kondratyev died.
