2016: Eset Security для Microsoft SharePoint Server

The Eset company provided in September, 2016 product update of Eset Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server. The new product is specially developed for antivirus protection of servers of joint work of SharePoint. He uses the optimized scanning mechanisms characteristic of a database structure of these servers.

The product supports function of parallel scanning of content in the SharePoint database. Scanning in the form of concurrent processes reduces the general time of check on demand, explained in the company.

In the whole Eset Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server provides security blanket both for documents, and for the server. Expanded settings of filtering allow to define actions for each suspicious document. The Control of Devices function for protection of the server provides automatic scanning of the connected external devices and setup of rules of work with removable mediums for each user.

The product protects from malware and Internet threats thanks to the modules "Expanded Storage Scan", "Protection against Exploits", "Antifishing". The cloud technology of detecting of the malware Eset LiveGrid is integrated.

When installing Eset Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server it is possible to select only the necessary components to reduce load of a system. At the same time there is an opportunity to specify alternative ways for storage of files of updating at initial installation. It allows to recover the current version of a product at rollback of a system without repeated downloading of large volume of data.

Product management by means of Windows Management Instrumentation allows to integrate a product into other solutions for monitoring of network and class SIEM products. The user can set exceptions for separate processes that increases compatibility with the software of third-party producers.

The product is optimized for virtual environment. The Eset Shared Local Cache function allows to accelerate scanning of virtual machines due to information storage about earlier scanned general files. Support of a cluster design — connection of several products installed in a cluster is also provided in one solution for centralized operation.
