Softline implemented the SAM project in realtor company "Etazhi"

On September 29, 2016 the Softline company announced project completion of SAM Baseline according to the complex analysis of use of the software of Microsoft in Etazhi company.

Project Progress

Project implementation of SAM Baseline was caused by the aspiration of company management to carry out a complex inspection of IT infrastructure for optimization of its further use and reduction of cost of support. As the IT partner the Softline company which implements a full stroke of the works directed to improvement of quality of use of the software of Microsoft and also increase in level of its license compliance was selected.

Inventory of program assets was carried out by means of the MAP and ITMan utilities. Experts of Softline together with IT personnel of Etazhi company conducted examination of software, estimated a current status of contracts for the software of Microsoft and also made reconciliation of licenses with the actual credentials. Use of licenses by the legal entities of the company which are not entering the agreement on the basis of which they were purchased was revealed. Besides, according to the program of lease of the software for small and medium business (Open Value Subscription) only the part of the PC park was licensed.

After that recommendations about expense optimization on licensing taking into account specifics of IT infrastructure were developed. In particular, it was offered to consider the agreement of Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA) that will allow to create several accounts and to purchase necessary for software for both separate representations, and departments in the organization, and on a centralized basis to control purchases. Also the assessment by techniques of Asset Management Optimization Model including interviewing of employees and development of recommendations about achievement of higher level of a maturity of processes of SAM was carried out.

Project Results

Inventory of IT infrastructure of the customer was as a result carried out, the status of the available licenses is specified that will facilitate management of program assets and will cut down expenses on their acquisition and maintenance.
